Iām using the Infocus sp4805 to display a 100" screen. At night Iād say it bests even the local movie theatre. Here are some pics taken 12ft away.
In the first pic I canāt even cover up Choi with my hand. I went with a projector cause I really canāt see the point of spending thousands of dollars for something so small. Not only is the picture quality rivaling any Plasma out there, but the projector is portable. Sometimes during really hot nights we take the projector outside(it weighs 8 lbs.) and I have a big white wall on the side of my house. Looks amazing.

The Projector cost me $1000 and is HD compatible has component in, and the Xbox never looked so good, this coming from a guy who owns a kickass XBR CRT. Oh and for your PC guys out there, you cannot imagine how good DOOM 3, and Half Life look on this thing in HDTV resolution, itās really jaw dropping.
BTW the screen Iām using isnāt fabric, maybe thatās why it looks so good. I was going to use fabric but one morning I was at Home Depot and I saw this guy carrying a huge white board and the lights from the cieling reflected off it and blinded me. I thought to myself, man that thing reflects light really well. So I ran over to him and he told me what it was. Itās called tileboard and Iām sure many of you have it in your own bathrooms. Anyway only cost me $10 for 4ā x 8ā. I suggest anyone whoās anyone to look into Projectors(Local Best Buy just opend a new dept. called Magnolia for Projector showrooms): Pros are that itās cheap, portable, flexible and most of all HUGE. Cons are that you have to research to find out which is the best projector(in this case though I belive I found the best bang for buck), and you need a light controlled room(daytime viewing is possible, but it doesnāt look good at all).

the images r gargantuan. im mean, huge! phukin alex(cfj) was like the size of my forearm. wtf! and dont get me started on burnout3. i dont think i could of handled third stike on that monster.
if any of u guys r even THINKING about going out and buying 1 of those plasma/lcd thingies, dont waste your time or $$. āprojectorā is the next step in human evolution.

Thanks for that Bahn, I really like your setup! Id never thought of using projector for PC, that must be cool. Im saving up at the moment, I was planning on getting one of the new Panasonic Plasmas. People keep on mentioning how good projectors are so now Im going to keep them in mind too. Im not sure if my room could handle it tho.
How far back is it recommended that you sit from say a 100" screen? I havent measured my room yet, but if I got a projector the screen would have to go infront of my mirrored wardrobe. (so buying a screen is a must)
