if ur talking to me, no i don’t have a full machine, just a consolized arcade 2 slot motherboard. it was for cost reasons…the arcade cart for garou is like 60-80 bucks for a good one, while the aes(home) version runs 300-600 depending on condition…i paid

i got most the games from ebay. the console was built for me by a guy named kenny. i saw one console he built and put on ebay and i contacted him about building me one. it wasn’t cheap, but it was worth it to get all the games at a fraction of the price. neo-geo collecting has become a new hobby of mine, theres alot of very good games on that system, plus its great nostalgia. check neo-geo.com forums for a guy named kenny-boy or d-lite. d-lite converted my sc2 stick to a neo controller for me. i can easily vouch for both their work. check out neotropolis.net for kenny’s work and contact info. i know d-lite has a page also, but i forget what it is right now…

The amount of money I have invested in just half the stuff alone in this room equates to that of three semesters at a community college. Actually, full tuition. The TV is a Sony WEGA 27 inch. Got it last year. I know its not high def but come on, as long as it plays my shit crisp and clear.

And (the) Geese, what are you so angry about? Did it ever occur to you that most people here probably did NOT buy all of this stuff at once? I have about a hundred games and 6 consoles, all of which Ive paid for in my 11 years of gaming (many of the games were bought used for $5-15). Lots of people here have probably been gaming for years.
You made some valid points about not needing tons of stuff to be happy, and I agree 100% with that. However I choose to put my extra money towards somthing that Ive loved for half of my life, and I hope to someday pass it on to my children for them to enjoy just as I have. I dont think theres anything wrong with having a hobby, or choosing to put your own money into that hobby.
Bottom line, if you want to keep belittling people youll go ahead and do that , but you could spend all this time working instead of sitting here complaining about how spoiled everyone is. And swearing every 3 words just makes you sound like a little kid.
