yeah, my desk is 1680x1050, and my icons are 64 pixels, but i only have six icons. I have a custom toolbar on my taskbar that keeps everything else that i need.

I just use slickrun to get to everything everywhere. i have everything small 'cause i need premiere/ae and crap to have a lot of space.

For those of you who I’ve seen that have some sweet set-ups, I’ve got a couple of questions, and I don’t mean any disrespect AT ALL mind you…alright, guess I can ask this to everyone who’s posted a set-up in this thread

How much do you guys earn to be able to afford so much hardware and furniture, and how long did it take you to build your set-ups?
Do any of you live bad and/or grimy neighborhoods or apartment buildings?
What’s your policy/stance on having guests over with all of your costly possessions out in the air?

Here’s the part where I go kinda off-topic…

I ask this because, even though right now I’m a dead-broke, dead-beat college student and probably will be for the next couple of years, back in my younger years, I lived a comfortable, passable life at home with my single-parent mother despite living in a lower-working-class ghetto. For as far back as I can remember, I had always been at the receiving end of envy and hate from neighborhood kids and former acquaintances for being “rich” and having a “rich” bedroom setup with…usually a run-of-the-mill CRT TV, a PS1, N64, DC, Genny, SNES with maybe 10-20 games for each system. No sticks, no home entertainment setups…everything I had surely added up to way less than a grand in value. Yet I was looked at like I was friggin’ Richie Rich when, then and now my setup is similar to some of the worst, lower-end ones I’ve seen in this thread. Seriously, I got sniped at every chance they got and on some occasions got some of my shit stolen when I wasn’t aware by peeps I made the mistake of letting into my crib.

SUMMARY: Basing this on my childhood, It sucks being an avid video gamer and living in the hood, having to often feel the scrutiny of envy and hate and worrying when and if your whole shit’s gonna get jacked because some broke, deadbeat HS dropout/drug dealers from around your way are green with envy at your “rich”, working-class at most household. Oh, and a lot of you guys have some really sweet, great set-ups, and what I envy the most is not all of the hardware and luxuries you can and have afforded (props to those) but the fact that (I assume) you live somewhere where you can enjoy and indulge in them without a care in the world, and not have to worry about your shit getting jacked. Honest.

you mean worn? well, my old cubes are all sorts of torn up… the one, yo ucan’t differentiate the faded yellow from the stained white… lol two are impossible to do because they fell apart and some of the pieces don’t match up no matter what you do (if there’s an odd number of pieces out of place, then you cannot solve it), and the fourth one is a porno rubicks cube with ass, titties, twats, naked chick silhouettes, and whatnot as the pieces, so i removed it from my desk to keep my pics srk-safe
