get happ competition joystick and buttons and change them with the x-arcade ones.
I understand that I can replace them with happ sticks. The question I have is what is the best stick for sf3. The regular happ competition sticks are pretty much the same as the xarcade. I am looking at the perfect 360, or a nice Sanwa or the jstic analog ultimate 360. I am basically asking if the ones without microswitches are more responsive and accurate than a sanwa with an octagon gate?

it’s all preference dude… most people there days use sanwa jlf or seimitsu ls-32
Old Competition/Euro stick feels much more better than the crappy Bao lian on the X-Arcade due to the squared actuator helping with diagonals a lot, the X-Arcade stick is closer to the Happ super than anything else.
maybe you are not understanding me. i would like to know technically if the optical type sticks that do not use micro switches are superior to the jap sticks that use microswitches. i personally think i would hate a square gate. i am used to round but might like octagon. the question is purely technical are the optical stics more responsive and more accurate than the microswitch ones?
ideally optical sticks surpass microswitch sticks in feel and response.
reality on the other hand occasionally begs to differ
Yeah I think that P360s and Flashes are way overrated. My friend has an ASCII Dreamcast stick with a Flash knockoff and the stick just does not feel right without microswitches IMO.
knockoff is a keyword there.
well i just ordered 2 suzo inductives they seem to be what ive been looking for.
Yeah but the ASCII Flashes are supposed to be just as good as the real ones. I have never had the opportunity to compare a Sanwa Flash to an ASCII Flash but I like microswitches. They click and let my know that I hit the direction. Have you ever noticed any differences between the ASCII Flash and the Sanwa Flash?
never used an ascii. i love the sanwa one.
i don’t like microswitches because of the clicks. they bother me.
I would like P360s if they just didn’t suck. The Sanwa Flash just feels too loose to me without the microswitch resistance of the JLF.
I wish Wico was still making the P360’s instead of Happ.
