Ok here is the proper way to take care of your tattoos.

  1. UseA&Dthe ointment not the cream

I prefer Aquaphor it’s a lil more expensive but i like how it helps you heal. Apply these ointments 2-3 times a day. Apply a light coat over them for best results.

  1. Never use lotion cause it can fade your tattoo… The only lotion
    that you could use is NON-scented lotion but try to avoid it if you can.

Vaseline is also a big no no. We use Vaseline while tattooing to help the needle
glide and pierce the skin more easily. But once the tattoo is done don’t use it again. Vaseline will turn your black ink ito some faded green color and that’s no bueno.

  1. Keep your fresh tattoo away from direct sunlight. If you don’t it will fade and turn nasty. I also hear that i can cause minor internal bleeding not to sure about that.

  2. No swimming for at lest 2 weeks.

  3. No hot showers for at lest 2 weeks you can seriously mess your tattoo that way the ink just falls right off.

  4. Your not supposed to let your tattoos scab up, If they do scab DO NOT PICK THE SCAB!!!

  5. If you are required to wear clothes that is tight on your and will rub on your tattoo wrap it up with clear food wrap put some ointment first but when at
    home let it breathe as much as posible and wash it off once a day with cold water.

thanks a lot, you gave me a lot more advice then the guy who actually gave me the tat. my tat scabbed up really really bad. i used the lotion the guy recommended but it was hard to keep it from not getting dry

wow that’s horrible lol. Well after i tattoo someone i always tell them the best ways
to take care of their tattoos. Cause it saves me the trouble of having them come back to get it re-touched up. :sweat:

Dang, this weekend i wanted to get a tat of the kanji symbol for the virtue Humility, but yall are right. I cant just google it or whatever, i dont know what could end up being on my neck…
