my friend told me he heard from a guy that you can unlock shin sean during a match by throwing the basketball to ko them and then instantly put in the level select cheat is this true???
it is beyond true
sean is teh bewts
I wish Seans 2i colours were in 3s.
Also thank you nunoelectric, there was some stuff there I didn’t know. This is why I love playing Sean,he hasn’t been constantly analyzed and researched since the game came out like the other characters have so you have more room to experiment with how he is meant to be played.
im so sad i can’t get his freethrow taunt to be my AV… sad day
The HK tornado kick can be parried and red parried. Nothing special, just leaves you at a disadvantage, so dont use it.
I can make that AV for you, sir. Gives me a reason to get into graphic design
Also, he has other resets midscreen and in the corner.
And yes, Bodler, Sean is the best!
Im definitely switching to SA1. Because it gives more combo posibilities, resets, and fills very quickly, allowing more EXs (most commonly dragon smashes).
I didn’t like it at first for the low damage, but experimenting more with it i figured out what most people say: SA1 is the best for Sean! (in my opinion of course)
Reset Combo (mid-screen or in corner):after a parried jump-in, or a whiffed shoryuken-like moves do:
close MP->HK (Target Combo). Have to hit them while they are in the air, Then finish with a sweet Reset SA1 :). Timing is the key to hit the SA1!.
When u suspect denjin (Ryu), quickly throw SA1 to surprise them!
Ej. U get knocked by a shoryuken, then they begin to cook the denjin. U just do a fast recover from the knockdown and quickly throw the SA1. Is quite useful sometimes for the surprise factor.
Well, Keep the Sean love!. See ya!
Sean just rocks…when I played Street Fighter 3 for the first time and I saw his basketball taunt…it was just freakin’ awesome and I love to play with him…a great character.Would be nice to see him in future SF games.
Yeah, I mess with Sean a bit. First character I’ve ever used, that boy. I stopped and started using Ken and Dudley, but I want to get back into it. So, there.
Like em… I main this Guy :). Anyone who can rock the yellow Gear get’s my respect…God I love yellow <3
out of the 4 in 3rd strike, i actually prefer sean. He has a good mixup game, and the power in his normals are quite good as well.
Soon I will upload some casual matches I recently had with a Friend (ROD-5). Still editing and uploading them. I think I’m improving, still some mistakes here and there but now im really better than like 4 or 5 months ago.
Stay tuned for the matches! Soon!
SA1 for life! lol
Hard core Sean player
only use him
Can anyone tell me Sean’s bad match ups?
Hugo is a bad match for Sean on paper, but it depends how you approach it I think. Sean’s SA3 can be quite annoying for a Hugo player because it can blast through Hugo’s pokes. You need to be very sharp and/or very clever to land it usually though.
I’ve just started playing as Sean and find it a real challenge but one that is really enjoyable. I don’t know why but he seems like a breath of fresh air and seems to have lots of variation in his play.
I am really bad with him so far so best try and learn him properly me thinks.
Ok here are the matches that i promised, this are a little old but still good!.
Hope you all enjoy it, Sean followers!

I know Sean is bad, but what makes him worse than 12 or Remy? Remy has some really bad normals, bad stamina and health (2 combos and he’s dead) and limited links. 12 has limited combo ability, and all of his SA’s are bad. But Sean has better links than the both of them, his Sweep is good. He can link crLK X3 into SA like the other Shoto’s and 2 semi-decent Supers that are more than functional, they’re not good, but not horrible either. He can super cancel his SRK (whatever you call it) and EX it, so he has a decent Wake Up option. Plus his taunt has a little mind game going for it like Dudley’s Rose throw. His problems are: His links aren’t as good as the other Shoto’s, and nearly all of his specials suck balls. Whenever I fight Sean scrubs they always spam his bad specials, and that’s the worst the absolute worst thing you can do with him.
Tier. lists. are. determined. by. tournament. results.
Sean sucks, because no one uses him and wins. Yamazaki has placed pretty high more than twice. Unlike Sean P. Pierrot has placed high more than once. Unlike Sean P. And all his attacks have stupid slow start up, except that one snatch fierce. Where it looks like he’s trying to take the pebble out of your hand.
My main
Been playin him for over 7 years
