Portland Tilt Tourney #4 3S/T5DR/(MVC2?) June 2nd (06/02)

You gotta make it down so you can take Anthony out for me.

God help the 1st person i gotta play in marvel! cus the going out like a candle light!

i might show up dam dogg i gonna fuckin work it’s all good tho overtime!

Word. Just, word.

Tomorrow’s the big day, if you think your gonna be late, call me, if your coming down from out of town or not sure if gonna make it on time, call me, that way I’ll write down your name and put you in the brackets, then pay me when you get here, and that way brackets won’t get fudged up. MY PHONE NUMBER is (503-332-6975). Remember, sign ups start at 2:00 pm , tournament will start 3:30 SHARP(give or take 10-15 minutes), try not to be late.

There should be a big casual crowd today at Tilt later around 6:00 pm, come down for some 3S or T5DR or crapvel, and there’ll be some casuals at ARTS later too. After the tourney tomorrow we should all get some PHA or something else, then go down to ARTS for casuals, I’m sure Ray will bring some rum and drink today and Saturday to Arts, and maybe some of that purple stuff for Black Sam(AKA: the button masher).

Alright, local people come down today and tomorrow, and out of towners, try to get a ride for this one, there’ll only be enough time for two more tourneys before EVO, and everybody needs all the practice they can get, so cmon.

Wrod. We’re leave Seattle at about 10. Should make it there jus’ in time. If not then w/e, we’ll casu. later.

Bung bung.

Sounds like a lot of people are showing up. I wish I could make it but I gotta go to someone’s graduation tomorrow. Best of luck to all. Def. will make a tourney before Evo Finals though.

anybody showin up early for some games? 2:30 ish?

???

3s:

1st. samY
2nd. rbx
3rd. val.
last. anthony rofl…

jk, anthony hurry up and get the brakkets up here =D

We had a dope ST tournament at Art’s house later on. Results:

ST:
1st. Ray
2nd. #1 Claw Master
3rd. SamY

Anthony got first in 3rd strike
Theo took MvC2
Dennis held it down in Tekken

Even with the shitty 3S cabinet, this was probably the best tournament we’ve had in a loooong time. All the Marvel heads showed up - if you don’t know Portland, that is pretty amazing - and we had a record turnout for 3S.

Portland vs Anthony 2: Mark of the Millennium casuals were tight, and the ST tournament was dope. I wish it was like this every time. Don’t let me down, guys!

For the Marvel cats that were playing at Art’s later on, I promise we’ll have better sticks by the next tournament. I’m gonna get an extra PS2->DC adapter so you don’t get stuck using the only DC stick we have, and I’m gonna fix up some of the extra sticks at Art’s so they are usable in Marvel.

Good shit everyone, see you next time.

And that is it, the final results. It was a record turn out for 3S(17) , 17 for T5DR, and 8 people for MVC2. You guys can post up highlights if you want, I missed T5DR, Dennis vs Kent was probrably a really good match or a real T5DR match.
The next tournament is already set, it’s for July 7th(Saturday), I’m thinking the same, 3S+T5DR+MVC2(maybe), I’ll post it up now.

i like how when you manage to get the brackets straight, you conveniently remember that i took last place.

and i though el samnegro said my name was “hat-trick”

imo, the bibimbap was worth it.

pi bim bap might be good but… the poor sportsmanship wasn’t either way does hae rim serve jap chae?

it was the only grant would pull a victory.

and i’ve never asked for Japchae, so you may have to roll out there on your own.

/edit: they do, but it’s called japchae-bap (???).

Yeah that was a really dope tournament. Lots of hella close matches, I think every match I lost could have gone either way. The ST madness afterwards was sweet too.

Best part of the 3S tournament was Ray’s between-rounds coinflip

does being from seattle make me part of team seattle? anyway really fun tourny, wish i could have gone to play afterwards but ill definately try to go to the next one tourny. Damn, portland magses are freaking fast, and you guys know how to block. i dont see how you can be blocking my strider when i dont even know where hes going. Ima take it next one, me and theo in the finals, bring your popcorn and video cameras, its about to get surious.

1st off you virgin ass douche, 6th place doesn’t exist.

2nd off good money matchs with theo and von

3rd Practice is always good

Too lazy to post more but will later.

Best tourny I think but next time Val I’m taking you out! lol just kidding yo man good fight that was the match of the day for me hurry and make another tourny

Pho after the tourny was bomb!

The tourny was cool, too much to write about but main players that dominated the tournament for tekken was julia, baek, marduk, king, raven, bryan players.

It was kent and dennis in the final, dennis beat kent 3-2 in the first set so there was no grand finals.

it would be cool if seattle tekken players could come next time.
poof
