a lot of the moonspeak confuses me and I has a couple questions
but the only one i can remember right now is when you level up, what is that wierd selection screen where you can choose either your av in a yellow background or creepy darker blue background
i do like that a lot of the av characters are lions :3
Hey hey, sometime in the future we should try some kind of tourney off of this client, just to see how it would be like. Should run pretty smooth and there’s some nice perks in doing so:
-everyone in they’re pool that’s not playing can watch the matches while they wait
-the bracket runner for a particular pool can more easily verify who won
All I really can think of, but it sounds like a cool idea.
Yeah, I was thinking of it being run off of regular versus mode and not tourney mode for that reason you just said. Though tourney mode works perfectly for KOF 2003, but I doubt anyone wants a tourney for that. I sure as hell wouldn’t want one.
I’ve made over 20 accounts, but I am running out of ID numbers. That is why I made the sign-up section in the guide. When I run out completely, I won’t be making any more accounts.
If you need any help with this, pm me or come to the IRC channel (#poporu on EFNet). Preferably IRC.
Boleslaw: Those windows you get when you level up just show what avatar crap is available to get at your current level. It’s all bought through the website.
It’s definitely closer to “real time” than Kaillera will ever be (as long as you’re playing someone within or around the same timezone). Would be nice to be able to turn off the GUI music, but keep the in-game sound, I played a silent game or two because I forgot to turn it back on when starting a new room. And I wish there was a way to play more rounds in succession. Other than that (and the constant credits) it’s a pretty sweet setup. I’m enjoying it. Don’t think I’ll dump Kaillera entirely though, as there are some non-SNK games I still play…
The connection has a bit more range than that. People in midwest/pacific can have games with players in the UK with less input lag than playing someone on Kaillera’s Good setting that are within your own state.
All I meant to say about the time-zone thing, was that when I played several matches against some korean players, they were all in slow-motion. Not to say Kaillera would be better, because it wouldn’t be under any circumstances. But you will still run into people who you’ll have less than optimal matches with.
