Basically, every player has a set “Trainer Value” while every Pokemon/Egg has a randomized “Shiny Value.” If the two values match up, when the Egg is hatched it will be shiny. This program allows you to see those values, along with damn near everything else, even before the egg is hatched.

Those are some huge ranges in Trainer values, from double digits to quadruple, there’s going to be a sea of values to wade through once this starts going. If this becomes successful, Shinies, like money will essentially be devoid of their worth, since the “market” will be oversaturated with their currency.

I found two people on reddit who can hatch Eggs out of the batch I bred… Too bad the 4 IV one has Torrent instead of Protean.

This time, there’s really no difference. All we figured out is whether or not an egg is going to be shiny if you hatch it. Your chances increase only in proportion to the amount of Trainer Values you have access to, so it’s still random, just not as random.

However, people might not value Egg Hatched shinies as much as Random Encounter ones… Kanye Shrug

not all shinies are created eaqual. I doubt there’s a demand for my earned shiny pidgey as opposed to say a Torchic. personally I don’t want an all shney team. just a few that look amazing.
