If anyone has a Jolly Moody Smeargle with Speed IV, and a Ditto(I just need one for breeding), I have Mudkip, Drought Vulpix, and a shitty Aegislash that I got from wondertrade.
Going through the story first would be best IMO. They don’t really explain some of the things we’re talking about, like IVs, EVs, Natures, or Egg Moves, but you’ll be more familiar with the rest of the game so you’ll be able to piece some things together in context. Most of the advanced stuff is to optimize your Pokemon’s stats anyway, so if you don’t have general knowledge along with that it won’t really change much.
GG @r00ster22 Props for using Mega Venusaur, it’s epitome of a tank isn’t it? I really wanted to see what set your Scrafty had tho. =/ I think I’ve only played against one this entire generation.
Lol as soon as i saw your team I was like… fucking scrafty…
Ya man you played really well that energy ball that hit greninja ended the game for me pretty much. You were predicting so well I was going to try to eat a fire move thinking you would assume i would switch rotom into venusaur. Oh well I think I had to make that play to win anyway. I made this team pretty randomly and I am thinking with scrafty it doesn’t have enough power to win games against solid teams.
Yeah I made some really ballsy reads that worked out, but you did a good job preserving your Shiny Mamoswine for as long as possible as it would’ve torn a hole in my team if I didn’t make a stand.
Scrafty now has a pesky x4 weakness to Fairy that it just can’t ignore, however, it has excellent abilities and can shrug off Status with Shed Skin that would normally stop bulky sweepers down.
I still don’t understand how it learns Crunch but the giant fang-mouthed Gyarados doesn’t…
ICE PUNCH WOOPER WHEEE! :looney:
lol You just reminded me, I always wanted to try Mega Cursesaur with SP.DEF Investment. Sounds potentially evil.
Megasaur with Curse sounds like some Trick Room shenanigans. But I dunno if it’s worth giving up a slot. Giga Drain/Leech Seed/Sludge Bomb/Sleep Powder is such a strong set.
Yes that’s pretty much the standard but Cursesaur has the advantage of not being completely walled by other grass types like the notorious counter Ferrothorn, who complete walls it and forces you to switch (basically a free setup for Stealth Rock). I also don’t have the dedication and the dittos to breed a 31/30/31/30/31/30 set for HP Fire.
