Alright trying a team around Volcarona. Not sure how to go about it. But this bug is like one of my favorites. No I don’t care about stealth rock.

If you want to build a team around Volcarona, you better care about Stealth Rock lol. You’ll need a Rapid Spinner and/or Magic Bouncer.
Or a Defogger.
But yeah, caring about Stealth Rock is non-negotiable when running Volcarona. Two Spinners/Defoggers minimum honestly unless you want to spend every switch in Roosting on the first turn.
A ground water pkmn will compliment your Volcarona well. You going bulky or more aggressive?

I do care about stealth rock lol. I’m just saying I know it’s a major weakness of his. Figuring ways to get stealth rock away would help. Defog and rapid spinners I do need.
Yea I was thinking a water ground type would help. I can’t access swampert nor empoleon (don’t think he can learn defog anymore) yet. But those were my choices when looking at Volcarona who I really want to be aggressive.
I’m still thinking for myself but I just need ideas.

oh yea just bred a perfect 6 IV phantump with jolly nature (-sp att +spd) and harvest ability, so along with the 6IV joltik i got yesterday thats 2 in 2 days!
what advice would you guys give for EV spread for phantump though? i plan on having him a status abuser mainly with some life recovery berry, leech seed/toxic/grass horn thing/phantom force/ingrain maybe.
what are the advantages of maxing out HP as opposed to just maxing both defenses? how about the moveset? any recommendations?
oh btw i now have a bunch of 4 IV phantumps and maybe a coupe 5s if anyone wants just holler at me. cant recall the exact IV spread or abilities atm though

Get mega-absol if you want to be offensive, but you need to spend one turn first to mega-evolve and get magic bounce Get Espeon if you want to be more defensive. If you choose espeon, you can use him to set dual screens or have him calm mind and baton pass to volcarona. You also got other options like xatu who also has magic bounce, or defoggers and spinners like mandibuzz and excadrill.
