I personally used lum berry DDance set to some success I think it is better than the scarf set personally because after the speed boost and atk boost nothing wants to fight it. Especially with sticky web support
Choice Band Rock Head is the way to go. Breaking down walls for a sweeper late game. You could pair it with Tailwind support but that’s “too hard” imo. Unless you run a rock polish set and try to sweep late game once everything is weakened
OK so after a year I’ve finally been able to play my XY again. I plan to get ORAS soon but I don’t know if I will have the time to grind like I used to. My teams are laughably ancient, so would it be possible get some Pokémon from you guys? Even some imperfect throwaways will be a good start.
what are you looking for? not much changed in terms of obtainable pokemon from XY to ORAS except for a few megas (beedrill, pidgeot come to mind). But I could hook you up with some stuff. Like to be honest, the competitive scene in wifi is like hmm the old 1250-1500 equivalent on PS ladder so I’ve found that even with some outdated stuff you are still good. Unless you face someone actually competent then you’ll have to adapt to other threats like M-Sableye or M-Diancie (rock polish crushes most HO).
Most important thing would be to finish your game so you’ll get access to move tutors. You’ll need those even for old pokes
Do Wonder Trades on Wednesdays… That’s when the redditors and streamers like to give out good WT pokes.
And yes, avoid evenings… You want late night/early morning(when other countries are more active, because the US is full of greedy idiots)… that’s when most of the good stuff is being given out.
Shiftry is bonkers, i built the deck, and its an easy way to grind the Vs ladder!!!
After you told me about Giratina/Vileplume, i went on and built the deck. Its to incosistent, it might be my build. I just cant seem to win with the deck…
I know Shiftry is bonkers…they really need to do something about that crap. It’s the epitome of non-interaction.
And Giratina/Vileplume isn’t easy to win with honestly. If you get rolling early you steamroll but it’s tough. I’ve also seen Giratina decks forego the Vileplume for more straight Dragon support.
Oh, and do you have any of the Flashfire Shiftry stuff?
