Started the second region, which is cool - get to keep all my items n stuff, but have to start over in terms of pokemon levels/stuff. Also cool; shadow pokemon, like pokemon XD? idk i didn’t play those games. but it’s p fun.
too bad i’m stuck on the first gym; gotta grind a bit because i chose grass starter and it’s flying type.

Truth be told I don’t even play PS these days, I try to avoid simulators. Plus since I FINALLY finished AS, I should hopefully get a Wifi team going in the next two weeks assuming I don’t slack off.

I’m curious: What are people actually planning to do with Contrary Serperior now that it exists? Like pretty much every other Contrary user, it only gets one move to “abuse” with Contrary, in this case Leaf Storm. What other three moves are people planning to give it?

it’s honestly just leaf storm. everything else sucks and counter productive.
The moveset will ultimately depend on what your team fears most.
I WOULD use synthesis, but with weather being nerfed your better off using Giga Drain to get health back once you’ve set up.
I’m putting Glare on mine, but training another with Substitute instead while both have a different Hidden Power. After looking at UU and OU tiers I think it’s best to have either HP fire, ice, or rock. Like I said, it depends on what your team fears most.
If you pick HP fire, then you are stopped by bulky fire types (and dragons if you don’t run dragon pulse from the move tutor) especially Heatran but can combat opposing grass types, bug types, and steel types after you’ve set up.
If you pick HP ice, you are walled by steel types like Ferrothorn, Scizor, and Metagross, but can combat grass types, flying types minus Skarmory, and dragons minus Mega Altaria.
If you pick HP rock, you are once again walled by steel types in general, but can fend off bugs, flying types, ice types, Dragonite and Salamence, and fire types.
Heatran stops you regardless unless you step up and run HP ground, assuming it’s air balloon is already popped.
Glare/hp fire/synthesis/leaf storm with leftovers maybe? Does it get FB?

I was planning on sub/leech seed/leaf storm/hp fire. That way when Heatran comes in you can leech seed stall him to death (hoping he doesn’t have roar). Same thing with dragons (although I wouldn’t stay on dnite)
Serperior gets Dragon Pulse, so with HP fighting it gets pretty respectable type coverage. Just gotta play around Skarm, pink blobs, and certain Fairies. I can’t really see myself using Serperior, though. Base 75 special attack is just way too low for my taste. If it was Grass/Dragon with Draco, maybe…
