Mega Beedrill will be an awesome mindgame trap- Do you stay in and risk letting it get off a Fell Stinger boost, or do you switch and eat the boosted Pursuit?

How the fuck does Beedrill get boosted Pursuit?
You know how Pursuit does more damage if you switch out? That’s what I was referring to.
Stay in, eat Adaptability-Boosted Fell Stinger that makes it stronger, or switch out and eat a now-80BP Pursuit.
fell stinger is too weak to try and abuse, especially when at best, i think they’ll give him a 50/50 boost to attack and speed just so he’s viable, it’s not going to deal enough damage
he already gets access to SD which doesn’t need to opponent to KO in order to get a boost. does he miss out on damage? yea but with heatran being everywhere, i don’t think he’ll get very often to use fell stinger
Yeah because having a Mega is going to get Beedrill out of NU/UU hell and into OU like it did Houndoom, Banette, and Alakazam…

they fucked up on both banette and houndoom, mega alakazam is one of the best pokemon in OU. it’s only BL because there are 5/6 mega pokemon better than it. smogon even has mega alakazam at A- tier
banette needs a turn to use prankster and has a worse typing and bulk than sableye and an opportunity cost
houndoom needs the sun to be truly effective, it’s not terrible but it needs a lot of support and why use it when there’s charizard Y
Beedrill is still going to be fraik as fuck so it doesnt matter that attack power wont mean a thing when he gets hit and he is out of there. Beedrill isn’t going to be worth a spot on teams when mega mence and mega gross plus all the other megas are stilk running rampant. Beedrill wikk maybe bee UU. Same for pigeot. Thunder hits 100 and blizzard as well He is not going to be in OU either. He will not be worth that mega slot Too many other good megas

If he got blizzard and thunder he’d be a definite problem hell even focus blast, which I was upraised he didn’t have due to how widespread it is.
A lot of Megas like Houndoom for example are clearly doubles meta focused.
Common attacking move in doubles is heat wave switch in on a heat wave flash fire up, have your partner set up sunny day and you could either A start spamming sun boosted Heat waves at +2 cause solar power or B nasty plot up and then start spamming Heat Waves at+4 for the super garaunteed win. either way he’s a fairly easy to use win condition in the doubles environment.
Same goes for Banette Dbond is a whole lot more threatening when your attacking Pokemon has moves that are there to hit 2 pokes at once
I said thunder and blizzard meaning anyone can hit him with these moves and 1 shot him thanks to no guard. Same as stone edge. Does no guard affect eveything in doubles? If so you can run him in doubles with something that learns blizzard Thunder Fire Blast etc for high damage hits.
