Poison hitboxes incoming

Eeh that is jumping HK, I’m curious about jumping HP. I also managed to stuff some Dhalsim AA normal which must have put him on tilt because he proceeded to eat a ton of incoming damage. However, I whiff the move a lot on ground characters.

The fact that jumping HK beats crouch fierce is good news anyway. Must practice the timing.

oh okay, so for the first 11 frames of HK DP she is strike invincibile, but projectiles and obviously throws will still beat her. I did find it interesting that ive used that move point blank against opponents and seen their cr.jab’s go right through my start up and then my DP catches them in their recovery wondering if it was just her hurtbox gets oddly low or something. Strike invincibility has never been mentioned with the move before so thats good news.

@ultradecapre one more thing if you don’t mind. So from what i understand, poison’s CR.HP has 21 frames of hitstun, and EX Love Me Tender starts up in 22 frames, so it doesn’t combo, but if your CR.HP is a counter hit, it adds 2 or 3(?) additional frames of hitstun, allowing CR.HP xx EX LMT to combo on a standing opponent because the first frame of EX LMT is able to hit the standing hurtbox quite easily. But if you do this on a crouching opponent, the EX LMT is blocked, which im pretty sure is because the EX LMT is landing on a later active frame because of the crouching hurtbox being much shorter. Would it be possible if you could do counter hit CR.HP xx EX LMT on a crouching ryu and see which frame the LMT is hitting ryu on.

could you do poison ST.MK xx LK LMT (both hits blocked) on a crouching ryu to see which active frame of the LK LMT hits ryu. Im pretty sure at or around max range crouch blocked ST.MK XX LK LMT lands on a later frame then the first active frame, giving poison 0 or + frame advantage.

Thanks so much, being able to see everything i felt out in game with the actual hitboxes and hurtboxes is very redeeming.

@ultradecapre is it possible for you to record poison’s lvl 1 and lvl 2 focus attacks on block and see the frame advantages if she cancels into a forward dash or back dash.

from what i could make out she seems to be -1 on a lvl 1 forward dash and atleast +3 on the lvl 2 forward dash. Back dash numbers are a bit harder to test on console.

@UltraDecapre Hey i was wondering if you could test a couple things for me.

1st thing, in v1.03, if poison did

Rekkas, immediate back dash, immediate J.HK

against cammy, if cammy tried to DP on wake up, she would whiff and fly away

in V1.04 that doesn’t happen anymore and cammy always stuffs poisons jump in with her dp now, it is also not specific to ultra, as any version of cammy will do that.

And doing this 4 frame safe jump set up with poison, against poison will have poison get up really quick and not allow it to work.

rekkas, immediate forward dash, N.J.HK

if you record this against someone with a 4F reversal (say guile, or kens mp/ex dp, or yun ex dp, to make sure you got it working) then play that recording against poison’s mk dp (4f), she gets up way sooner and is able to counter hit the jump in with her dp. She didn’t get up that quick before in v1.03
