So no Timed stock matches??? That would seem like a default way 2 play the game. Figuring out a way to play this game “right” in a competitive way…what is this smash brothers??
Encounter something interesting while playing Heihachi. I was him in arcade mode on the InFamous tower stage and used my level 2. AI managed to make Kuma drop into the pitfall and never came back up. Something to keep in mind when fighting Heihachi in stages with pitfalls.
Dante is insane. Combo’s for days.

So what do you guys think about Parappa so far?
Cannot speak competitively, or even as someone who has played him, but all the ones I have seen online have done quite well. He has great mobility, a 100ap level one that is great to punish with/combo into, and your main option is a strong level 2 that is a very easy 3 kills.
I cannot attest with how to approach to certain characters, but I feel he can afford to lay back on account of boom box, charge in with air skateboard, dive kick outta nowhere from some easy damage, and pick someone out of the fray to combo with microphone.
As for 1v1/more isolated battles, I figure he wants to stay in there with his quick moves and outblock the opponent etc. Does he have a move to chase rolls, maybe air skatedash?
His s3 is rolling dash with his mic.
So Jak’s Gravity Disrupter into Level 1 is no longer a combo, right? I’m watching a WNF match with Jak pre-release and it comboed but now it seems impossible to. Why on earth would they get rid of something like this (something they themselves said is high risk, high reward) and leave some of the atrocities other characters can commit? Disrupter is useless now.
The number one ranked player right now is a Parappa…
Cool to hear. Someone uploaded this glitch with Raiden today. Any explanations?

lol stock is stupid online. as soon as the host dies (and nobody knows who the host is), he can just leave and end the game for everyone!
Well it looks like Spike used the Spear of Destiny right as Raiden’s Level 2 wore off. At the same time it looks like there was network latency. His Level 2 wore off as he was in hit stun from the Spear of Destiny. I’ll have to try that later to see if I can reproduce it.
Heihachi seems like a strong character, but I rarely see him used. Why?

No sword, no trencoat, no bewbs, no brutal stuff, etc.
I’ve seen a good amount of Heihachi players. I was actually surprised. They were all pretty decent too.
I think I have yet to have a match without a Raiden.
My pal irl mains Heihachi and loves him. That guys counter literally counters everything outside grabs and supers, it’s ridiculous. Plus when he counters you stumble back giving him a free set up into level 1.
Was so funny because when he just started playing he told me he didn’t like the game at all (saying the only way to kill with supers was dumb), but after about a solid hour of play and getting used to the flow and finding cheap set ups he loved it lol. Was great.
You can roll that, actually.
I’ll remember that for next time.

Emmett looks pretty neat
Yeah, I’m surprised we’re getting screenshots so shortly after their announcement. I know they were almost certainly working on them before they announced them, but I’m still impressed by Superbot.
Plus, that new Heavenly Sword/Wipeout stage looks sweet, I’m hoping it’ll be a good map. Maybe this means we could be seeing a Medievil/Tekken/DMC stage in the near future?
I think Emmett might become my new main. I loved Starhawk. His moveset should be very interesting.
I’d also like to see a MediEvil and Tekken stage.
