I guess I very incorrectly assumed you guys slashed stick production when next-gen was announced.

However I think you’re incorrect in thinking that making a Ps4 stick is a risk. I guess pad-hacks threaten your market, but there’s no wired DS4’s right? Also your argument is you have Ps3 sticks in stock which you want to sell which means you do just want to make money, and selling Ps3 sticks that you have nets you more profit than making a Ps4 stick so it IS true that you guys just want to make money

Now I’m curious how many current gen sticks madcatz is sitting on, I may be cynical and 100% stream monster but I very much want madcatz to be successful and continue to make grade A sticks forever. I’m interested in how many sticks are in warehouses unable to be loved by the FGC…

I guess it would be a huge bonus for your VS re-release for the holidays (you did mention that in another thread right markman? I’m not going insane) if you could slap on the box PS4/PS3.

This is starting to sound dicey, I wish more game devs were talking with you guys about titles that will have Ps3 support, and for that matter I wish microsoft worked something out with you guys to make your life easier. Now I’m all worried and stressed, I better take a break and play some dark souls to settle myself down.

I;m not saying this to be an asshole, I swear, but you don’t know anything about business or how the movement of capital works. It shows on how you write. Start a business of your own, make friends with pepole who run businesses. See how this stuff works from the inside. You will be amazed to learn what you don’t know. After running a business for a couple of years, then get a business degree (trust me it makes more sense once you do it first in real life then learn how you fucked up later)

Hopefully I don’t get castrated for reviving an old thread, but I’m curious if the status has changed on compatibility recently.

With Madcatz reveal today that they are making a Ps3/Ps4 stick (with a slider toggle to select your system) the question is if the developer side of things is now dead? I’m not going to hold out for Arcsys to keep the dream alive.

If anything, I was saving to buy a KI TE2 (assuming I’m un-successful in getting/modding Crossbone), but I’m thinking I’ll just get an USF4 TE2 Sony version instead. I really want a stick for GGXrd!

Actually, I’m guessing that from this point moving forward, all peripherals for Sony consoles will be for both PS3 and PS4.

At this point in time, considering the transition we’re going through, it’s INSANE to try to sell a $100+ PS3 controller that ISN’T upwardly compatible with the PS4!
For crying out loud, Sony threw PS3 owners a bone by making the DS4 backwards compatible with the PS3! That kind of thing hasn’t happened much in the past. MS, for one, doesn’t give a hoot about the customer relations aspect of expensive peripherals and have screwed XBox owners through the past two generations of their consoles.

I’m on the fence about buying new PS3 controllers. Sure, this or that joystick might look nice but in the end I kind of want to save some money, too, and not end up with a controller that’s only useful on one system. I’ve been through that game once or twice with some otherwise nice controllers… I was never that happy with the fact that Hori’s PS2 FlightStick 2 didn’t work with any of the PS3 flight sim/dogfight titles including the very late Ace Combat title that showed up on PS3. On top of that, Hori took their sweet time coming up with an official PS3 Flight Stick that DID work with most PS3 flight sims!
As MS demonstrated very well, USB does NOT mean the controller will work with every system or personal computer that actually has USB ports.
It may be a moot point… nobody knows if the new gen systems really are the last of the game console dinosaurs. We’ve got one, perhaps two, hardware manufacturers ready to throw in the towel at the end of the day.

I saw there was a Razer Atrox released for Xbox One at EVO this year, I’m curious how easy/possible it would be to mod that to work with a 360/PS3/PS4. I’m shopping around for a new one, but I dont want to dump $200 on a stick only to have to buy another one in 6 months.

On both occasions it worked, however, after while, first instance was 1,5 hours, 2 nd half an hour my ps3 shut down, by beeping 3 times then restarted and warned me that data might get corrupt this way. First I thought my ps3 is dying slowly, but then when I inserted d pad again, it has never happened since then, eventhough it has been on for days now. My theory is, that it might be the case, that my ps3 is from the first series of Ps3 s, 60 GB and backward compatible for ps2 games. Could it be, that in a way, it is too “old” for this kind of item? Honestly I did not try this with other newer versions of Ps3, but it seems it might be the only way. I just wanted to ask some knowledgeable people here beforehand, since my search on the internet has had no results about such a problem.

There is no Street Fighter IV on the PS4.

Also there no PS4 support on the Cronusmax last I checked. Okay so there is PS4 Support, but it requires a PS4 controller to be connected at all times.
First Bluetooth sync, then for normal operations the controller must be connected via USB. While your Dual Shock 4 controller is Synced with the Cronus you CAN NOT use your Dual Shock 4 on your PS4 console with out re-syncing the controller to the PS4 (which also de-syncs from your cronus).

I was not sure if he meant Guilty Geat Xrd for the PS3 or PS4.

So far AS OF RIGHT NOW, there are no fighting games on the PS4 that takes advantage of PS3 arcade sticks.

Only game announced to do so is going to be Skull Girls for the PS4 and that version of that game is not released yet.
Even when (and if) you get the PS4 version of Skull Girls, the PS3 controller only works IN GAME, the PS3 controller will not work out of the game or in the system menu.
Sticks with a Six Axis or Dual Shock 3 PCB will ALSO NOT WORK!!!
