Of course I’ve played the Arcade. I was referring to ports of the game since that was what we were discussing.
Calls out people for bitching
Bitches until sunrise
Before this thread get’s off track on beefing, how’s all of your experiences during rare matches with good connections. Not decent, not OK, good.
It feels fairly close to arcade. There are some things that are off though like meter size, random sound glitches, ect. It’s not perfect but pretty close. Online is a hit or miss for me. Yellow and red are completely unplayable.
Damn everyone is going for the jugular today, the game has shit matchmaking which is my only problem with this package. The fact that every time i press start in training mode it resets it pisses me off too but that’s a minor grievance.
This thread is really inappropriate, especially the OP’s avatar. We’re all a little peeved at the problems that game is having and I also wish they’d taken more time on it, but I’d really rather see the community request solutions in a manner that’s at least… neutral? Derek Neal and the team put a lot of work into this, just not enough yet. They deserve more respect than this.
That being said, the PS2 version definitely isn’t better hahaha
Deserve respect? They did promise an arcade perfect port and it wasn’t delivered. Hopefully they’ll fix all the problems soon.
The best quality matches are on par with GGPO’s, and to 3SOE’s credit, they happen much, much more frequently. That’s one thing the developers did right. However, the problem is anything below “green” ping is terrible. GGPO 3S had reduced framerate during high-ping games. 3SOE bypasses this entirely and goes straight to the roll backs and teleports.
Yes, they still deserve respect. They promised the most arcade perfect port of a fighting game thus far. Whether or not they delivered is still no reason to act like this, especially since they’re clearly paying attention to what we’re saying.
That’s your opinion bro. People don’t have to respect anybody if they don’t want to. People feel let down because we were promised something, we paid for it and it wasn’t want we wanted.
You’re right, but why be callous when it doesn’t make the situation better or actually make you feel better? Haha
The joys of the internet where the commonly held belief that whoever is yelling loudest wins the argument, reason and human decency be damned.
People bitch when they’re disappointed and angry. It’s not constructive but it helps vent anger. Some people bought a console SPECIFICALLY for 3soe… I totally would be pissed off too if I bought a new console for 3soe and realized it wasn’t what they advertised it to be.
Who’s yelling?
There’s venting anger, and then there’s making ridiculous claims about the quality, personal attacks against a member of the development team who’s actively on the forum and communicating with us (Plus an avatar with his face crossed out? Come on!), and making an embarrassment of the community. Really, it’s par for the course to be like “OMG THIS GAME BLOWS I WASTED MY MONEY DAMNIT CAPCOM,” but getting this personal is just ugly and wrong. Obviously people bitch when they’re mad, so bitch, but don’t attack specific people who are trying to make sure you get your money’s worth. We haven’t gotten our money’s worth yet, but this ridiculousness just makes it worse.
The personal attack is a bit much and childish I admit. I don’t know where your expectation of the community comes from though… From my personal experience, a lot of people in the community are assholes. :\
I like how people bitch about the matchmaking system that we all knew was going to get patched, and probably play 3s on the normal 3s -ggpo server, where you have to request someone 100 times before the game can even get a match going without crashing, assuming it doesnt crash once the connection ACTUALLY gets established. Dont get me started on the scan line glitch. Fuck that shit. 3soe is awesome, and im glad I have it.
If you’re playing online, 3soe is the best way to go.
I know how the community acts as a whole, but hopefully by calling bullshit on it, every once in a while someone will settle down. Or at least it might help alleviate the problems between Capcom and the community. If people put in their opinions respectively to counterbalance this stuff, then the relationship is better and developers won’t have to be on the defensive constantly, at least on an individual level. Ono having to ask people to stop insulting him on Twitter was mind-blowing.
I wasent going to buy it since I already own the jpn PS2 version but thanks for letting me know.
Well, there’s your problem.
