just got hit with the random shit, lmao he got me what
can i say! not next time tho :nono::nono:
I didnt even play that vega…i lost to riki twice once to go to losers and then later too
Flex icic well hopefully I can help u out with the match ups when I do come out how u feel about abel?
Pyeek o ok then why you lose to my vega then? And all I did was jump in and throws and wakeup ultras and unsafe tactics shouldn’t a garbage character like vega lose to chun? He shouldn’t be in game right since they didn’t change anything to him according to you am I right?

haha you trollin me on xbl my man??..naw seriously though i love to get some matches in with you cause you bodied me up at game clucks
man you got bodied by OriginalKDAWG WHAT ARE YOU THINKING DOG ITS JUST KK ONE OF THE NICEST PEOPLE ON THE SCENE, lol nah KK is dope dont take any negative feelings away from getting bodied by KK or Brent both dope ass vega’s and opened my eyes to vega as they take what is supposed to be a bad character and continue to body good people :)))))))))))
GG to all the people I talked/played with at the tournament. Damn look at what 4 weeks of no practice does to my game, lol. I think I connected 2 combos correctly.
Perhaps I will show up to the next one (if I have the $) and I’m glad the payout structure is now fixed for the better.
See some of you at PAX
For the record Brents Vega got a whole lot better, @ the casuals 2 weeks ago i must of played him about 30x straight, and some of the shit he was doin was some shit i never seen him do
BrentoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOooo
Thanks for running the tournament Terrance. I think this was my first Grand Finals in Seattle, so it was pretty awesome. Sort of caught me off guard when someone told me I was in winners finals.
Good Games to everyone I played and to Eman for winning 2 sets in a row in Finals. I need to figure out the Adon match, and figure out the right normals and spacing for punishing some of that jaguar tooth spam, and the best air to airs. I think I will probably have to use j.mk/j.mp instead of j.Fierce against Adon. Feels like a pretty good match.
Brent you are my hero

GGs to everyone I played. A couple pretty close matches. Brent, you have improved your game, even if it wasn’t playing that made you improve. I think you’re just looking at the game as a game now, and not letting anything take you out of your game. As for Adon v Vega, c. fierce beats jag tooth clean, so does ultra and air throw and round house. I don’t think I should be able to tooth vega. Jag kick get’s beat by air thow and you can flip out of pressure. Mostly just wait til you see the jag kick and ultra or flip. Adon get’s beat by fast low/mid normals. c. strong was kicking my ass even without the claw.
And Terrence- Good shit taking our game to the last round. Less jumping, getting more familiar with your normals and using back dash to escape pressure intead of uppercut will improve your game. That 15 hit combo I did on you was pretty funny though . No damage, but whatever that’s how Bison rolls
Brent’s vega is indeed beast
@Riki-oh yea u did style on me,lol but yea i do realy on my uppercuts alot, but also wit cammy it tends to come on on accident as well, but wats funny is last tournament(the 1 before last) i played brent i ended him wit 3 ex cannon spikes, FP, spiral arrow, lol so i can style a lil bit 2
I’ve never seen a Vega played so technically like Brents. Thanks for setting this up you guys. It was a welcome reintroduction into the Street Fighting scene and it most definitely kept me humble. Mikey and Terrance were informative, telling me what I need to improve on (BnBs mostly) and Brent pointed out that I should probably stick with Chun if I continue to play a patience game (You guys totally took me out of my element and I really was not ready for the rushdowns that were happening. After playing casuals with Brent, I thought I would be able to hold my own with Ken…alas I did not. Good lessons learned). It is indeed a faster paced game than vanilla but the basics are still there and adapting is still not that difficult…it’s the reaction times that killed this old man (Robotech? Wasn’t that in the '70s?!).
The girlfriend was very impressed by your guys comradeship and level of play although was completely shocked at how much I let the word “tournament” get to me. Nerves of steel are needed for next year’s EVO and practice, practice, practice. I did go pick up SSF4 and have taken apart the stick, put it back together and played with it for a good hour or so with various characters (why the hell did they make Guy so slow is beyond me) and I didn’t find anything out of the ordinary that Matt was talking about…Again it could have just been a mind-game that thought of getting back into the tournament scene after 5 years of non-play can do to you.
I’ll be there at the next one (and probably the casuals so we can all exchange ideas). Again, thank you for putting this on a comfortable setting with some awesome and knowledgable people. It’s good to know that the underground still kept some good peeps in the PNW.
OH! Holy shit…I’ve been wondering where I’ve seen Brent’s Vega before. He plays him just like a SFA3 Rose player. The Splendid Claw is a SFA3 Rose V-ism custom combo just without the triple slide juggle into standing fierce.
Tricky tricky!
remember casuals next tuesday, pizza&drinks + fighting games= good times!!!
Riki shouldn’t be losing to any cammy’s outside of me. THe only reason is because I play Riki so much we know each others tendencies but otherwise he knows the match to the point where is someone didn’t know his tendencies they are getting bodied.
Brents Vega is like this.
Don’t let him be at start range he will beat you
otherwise its a fair fight.
weird. maybe it was just me. It’s hard to imagine that I would botch like 10 free hits though lol. I wasn’t nervous or anything and I had done pretty well against Brent in casuals so I was warmed up and ready to go. Anyway, thanks again for letting me use your stick man. hope to see you at the next one.
Really good way to put it. He and I played like 12 matches in casuals and it was almost like playing Dhalsim. Had to stay in his face the whole time.
Also, what time are casuals running next time??
@Shredelicious next tuesday from 5 until close will be a casual day, 10$, pizza and drinks will be provided too
