You dipped out to early Steve. It was a pretty awesome comeback for a Zangief victory over Chun Li.
No offense to Steven, but he sort of fell apart once the initiative shifted, and Cory rediscovered the magic of back + down + spin the stick + P in SF4. He was hitting his combos very consistently off every poke.
Moment of the tournament - Zangief does empty jump Ultra. Chun jumps over his head. He does SPD and grabs her right when she lands on the otherside.
Tonight was definitely good stuff. Congrats to Steven and Cory for running the show pretty hard.
I agree with Brent about Steven sort of cracking in the matches with Cory but that shit happens. It was still a great match to watch and they both played brilliantly. I’m pretty sure I cracked playing Steven in losers finals, nothing was going my way. lol

@stayshift its cool bro, work is way more important then a tournament will ever be(unless this shit IS ur living lol) but just do us all a huge favor before next time u show up, if u can, PLEASE get in contact with players in ur area, because alot of people are down they just dont have the transportation and are willing to come out to our tourny
Yeah I don’t know wtf happened…steamed from losers and reset it in the g.finals,after that…well shiet haha couldn’t get anything right after it. Yeah Matt it did seem like the timing was just a second or two off for somethings that i see you hit with no problem all the time.
and yeah it was the beginning of the end when Cory got that spd after he missed the ultra. Too much of that hairy man chest for my chun to handle i guess haha
Yooo I appreciate the love for mother Russia. Steve went into finals with a vengeance I swear, hungry as a motha, had me real dazed for the first set haha. Intense matches my dude. -Cory knocked my Abel into losers finals with Gief.
-Steven knocked me out when I cracked in losers finals. lol
-Steven reset Grand finals 3-0 against Cory’s Gief but he cracked and Cory took the final game to win it all.
We’re all just BSing about what happened at the tourney and how free we are. It was good times though and the Grand Finals were really entertaining.

12 people i think. We had some new pad players there too. They both showed some potential to be heavy hitters around here.
from now on i think we can get @ least get 14 people a week 2 show up hopefully in a month around 20, then maybe by Christmas we can hit 40+, its possible, trust me, also if we bring in numbers the company will order more TE sticks, more extension cords, and we can have the tourny running on the whole venue

No joke man. lol, Ya Steven is Pyeek. He’s one of my favorite people to play down there. We go back and forth a lot. I was the one that sent him to losers in the first place but he came back real thirsty in losers finals. His Chun and Cory’s Gief both kept me out really well. I’m gonna have to work on that. :shy:
