So you pay $5 to enter for a chance to win a copy of SF4 and a cheap bag? If this is being fair to the players, what happens to the rest of the money if the pot surpasses the price of the game and bag?
If Play N Trade wants to do a promotion, they should donate the prizes and eliminate the entry fee (ala Gamestop). If I remember correctly, Gamestop came to PZ wanting to collaborate on an event for the SF4 launch where they would give out product (games and sticks) for FREE. If PZ decided to charge an entry fee, players in the tournament would win the pot money AND product. If PZ decided to make it a free entry, players would win just product.
So why would anyone go to this Play N Trade event, when Gamestop is offering a MUCH better deal, in store(with their SF4 +Capcom+Evo Tourney) and with PZ on the same day?
everyone do the math, and go to the tournament with the better prizes. :>

Can you spell SCAM! I did the math correctly and If Planet-Zero is charging 5$ for each player and is getting 20 Players a week Plus Paying to play/1.25$ You make a 100$ Plus 50$ in Pay To Play. Total of 150$. Times that by 4 and that = 600$/Monthly. You got the game in August and started your weekly’s in September. So Sept-April You would have made a GRAND total of (4800$) But you are only giving out 1200$. Were did the 3600$ GO?:wonder: Not understanding because everytime I do my Brawl tournaments. the 1200 was an estimation (if the weeklies averaged 16 players)
the $5 per entry goes entirely to the prizes. if they don’t, i will be the first one to call ranma out.
it’s kind of fucked up that you’re calling ranma a scammer. i understand that everybody enjoys reading that bullshit, but promote your events without spreading lies, please. i actually respect what you’re trying to do, as far as running tournaments goes. but your methods really say a lot about your character.
as far as the bags go… i wouldn’t be caught dead holding that shit in public, and im sure i couldn’t get anything for one of those on ebay
