And no it’s Leo for short. If they wanted Leon for short they would have gone with Leon but in both Madworld and Anarchy Reigns they call him Leo. It’s not nit picky, it’s what he’s called.
Black Barons special is two buttons as well and does almost all of Garuda’s health (He has the most of anyone so it kills most everyone else outright), is not a charge and has sick range AND area of effect. A Team of Barons would be far bigger problem then a team of Leos.
It’s why nothing is fun anymore. No one wants to watch or play anything without considering the competitive and artistic values it possesses. Mindless fun is frowned upon by everyone now.
That is why Baron doesn’t only rely on pimpryuken, playing as him myself, I’ve never seen a range problem with the Baron against Leo, attacks clash with eachother ect. so it’s not like you can dhalsim him out with those kicks and the Baron’s air weak killer weapon has plenty of range to move in with and tag people running away or Sashas throwing that ice, not to mention that it launches on hit too.
Btw. Madworld Leo isn’t Anarchy Reigns Leo they have different full names, different appearences and the designs don’t even hint to being the same.
Lol believe me the multiplayer won’t stop me from enjoying the story mode by any means. Your means of corrections was pulling hairs to demoralize my argument for effect don’t worry it’s what happens on the internet when people want to make a point or have little to respond with but that’s a different place. I’m sure the game is gonna rock in single player, Beyonetta was a smash hit by Plat and I still play that today no doubt, I just think that all the fluff will fade out once the certain multiplayer aspect and modes are going to get locked down to a science once the mindset of the player shifts back from expanding damage to shutting down options. Woah, hold up there, Leo is currently the only true ToD character in the game as far as I know. The moment he gets a clean launch or blows through something with his staggered light attack lunge, you either pray that someone else comes along and hits him mid-combo or you die.

He can do even more than that. You can reasonably relaunch 5 times before doing his air killer weapon heavy cinematic, which is complete overkill. The timing is somewhat strict offline, but due to the lack of hitstop online it’s actually really easy to do.
That, combined with the aforementioned staggered light attack that has armor and leads to death on hit, and his ridiculous dash kick that gives a full ToD combo when spaced properly and also doubles as a movement tool, letting Leo outrun everyone who isn’t in rampage (even if they lock on to Leo, they still can’t catch him) makes Leo one of the demo’s best characters. His killer weapon charge is somewhat mediocre though, you need to already be close in order to get much out of it.
I’m not saying Leo’s not strong. I’m saying in this type of game you don’t always have the time to relaunch someone 5 times. Being able to combo forever isn’t as strong in this demo when someone can come up behind you and pimp slap you in the back of the skull. Ask anyone who mains Leo in here and they will tell you one of the biggest problems they have with him is that he doesn’t kill fast enough. It’s as simple as that.
This is true, though Leo can kill the low health (Or the non high health? I’m not sure about the health values in this game) with only a single relaunch into cinematic, which is very feasible.
No character is going to attempt a true combo when dealing with two other people, it’s just going to be launch > uppercut > cinematic, if even that. This is also usually when Leo has the option to just run away with his dash kick, which is hilariously good at running away from groups in TDM.
While this is true for all characters, if you’re smart you can just watch the radar mid-combo and go into a cinematic the moment someone appears, keeping yourself safe and getting the most damage possible. From experience, they’re probably going to die from that unless you had cut short after the initial launch.
I don’t really mean to come off as mercilessly ranting (even though I am).
In other news: Hi thread, I’ve been playing this fantastic demo on 360 lately, and am salty as fuck that I will have to import it if I hope to play the full game in the near future.
