Sure thing @PandaKingEx
@ the whole bayo thing: Rins > Bayo is true. From my experience it just feels shes high tier though. That whole touch of death nonsense!
Rins WW HH is meh. Its not like you can’t roll away from the knockdown. I used it to troll rank 1’s or people who just don’t roll when knocked down. Theres much more I can do with Rins than just that though(thank you twitch cancelling).
Speaking of twitch cancelling, are we going to call it that? What names would you guys give it? I’ve heard Roman cancelling, rape cancel, etc.
I thought of calling it… Just killer weapon cancelling lol
I agree that Rins are better than Bayo but a dedicated Bayo player(dedicated to ruin people fun, that’s it) can be really untouchable. Her dodge I sometimes mistake for Master Evader, there’s people that will never do anything that isn’t circling and waiting for something to happen so that they can air WKW-> HKW, rinse and repeat. they barely need anything else to often top a room or at least be high enough to make you feel shitty for actually playing the damn game.
This is the best tier list. Though Baron could be higher imo. Wait why is Fei lower than Ai, her dive is way better AND she can do shit that Ai can’t, like combo off a damn burst 360 for derp damage. THAT IS INSANE. That’s some TvC shit right there. The memories. ;_;
Mathilda is D tier tho, people say she has charged KWH, but what does that shit really do? Yes, it can take kills, ANY charged KWH can. Bull can nab kills much more effectively than she can with a damn KWL, and his basically IS a charged KWH, while Bull has better mobility, a divekick, and he’s a big dude for grabs. Mathilda has charged KWH. That’s it. And it’s not even that good.
Jack is barely better than Bull just because…well I don’t even know honestly. Jack is this game’s definition of average.
In fact, I’d only consider Jack better than ANYONE if you consider twitch canceling. But if you do, this tier list is null and void, pretty much. Or at least half of it is.
We already have that, the j.KWH thing. Better off to give such a huge thing a different name. Twitch cancel is fine even though there’s gotta be something more fitting.
I was just talking to someone about that the other day, how do you do that anyway? I did it with douglas one time and got an instant kill off a tire, aKWL-aKWH I was like, wut? Sometimes I get it by mashing it out but is there a proper way?
Mathilda is bad my ass! She’s so great in team battle or any supporting role. Going on xbox Anarchy to prove some people wrong! Gonna show off girls prostitute cancels, chains, all that nonsense!
@TunnelingEffect You mean the kw glitch? air kwl hold h let go of kw(done the entire time you’re in the air). Douglas shouldn’t be able to do it since his air kwl is a dive but if you did some shit off a slant? Or the game is that crazy(Hey we got so many stupid things happening, this game can do anything and I wouldn’t flinch) then sure I guess.
After fighting PandaKing’s Ai… I think she’s a little better than Fei. Looks around*
I also think Nikolai is most ass than anyone. Him and Jack are tied there. Time for the popoffs!
Nah not that, it literally just combo’d into a regular KWH, it only works when you hit someone with the dive. I know about the regular KWH glitch. I guess next time I play I’ll try and replicate it.
Like the other night on shiz’s stream, I saw him land a dive and he immediately body splashed with gargoyle, it’s the same thing only you can KWH after. Maybe it’s just another variation of the regular aKWH glitch? I dunno.
I’m not starting anything either, but man, it really feels like you’re scrapping the bottom of the barrel for excuses.
Yeah, we could put together a team to counter the you guys. Thing is not all of us are playing the game 24/7 like certain players. I don’t have some anti-TB number on speed-dial, we don’t have some Justice League of Anarchy that can be called up for emergencies. Most of us just go with the flow and play with whoever we’re partnered with. Sometimes it’s a good team, sometimes you’re stuck with three lvl 1s. It’s anarchy, it’s just the way things are. I don’t get how always playing TDM with the same 3-4 players and wrecking opponent teams consisting of randoms is even a show of skill. I also don’t see how it doesn’t get boring as hell playing the same way all the time.
On the other hand, there are some players who can hold their own against an entire team of 50s despite being partnered with newcomers. For example, a TDM I recently played with three other lvl 50s (well, one was a lvl 47, but you get the idea), against one lvl 50, a lvl 17, and two players that weren’t even lvl 5. Of course we won in the end, but that didn’t stop the lvl 50 on the other team from going 9-2 and supporting the rest of his team. I mean sure, the players on my team weren’t the best lvl50s or even that good, but the point is they new much more about the game than three players on the opposite team. Didn’t stop that lvl 50 from causing his own chaos. And he actually stuck around despite knowing he’d lose.
For alliances, really man? I just gave you an example of blatant bias in combat and you’re going to tell me that you guys don’t form alliances? That you guys go after each other just as equally as you go after other players who aren’t in your friend circle? I’m not saying this is unique to you, I’ve heard that on PSN, Japanese players in BR lobbies will often go after foreigners, letting their friends rack up lots of kills while the other strong players are being harassed. It’s irritating no matter who does it.
As for master evader, again, I don’t see why Exile using it is a crime, but deadlock gets a free pass. I’ve heard his excuses and they’re terrible. I tore them apart and he just resorted to childish arguing. Of course players will get targeted, especially if they have a knack for placing high and/or pissing people off. I get targeted, just as many other players do. Difference is we can hold our own without glitching around with master evader.
Winning cage matches doesn’t mean anything. It’s just a question of who gets stunned more often (something that is always in the favor of the player with crappier connection). Some characters aren’t even good in cage, while other like Durga are arguably even better than Fei Rin, lol. Also, has it never occured to you that maybe you guys win cage a lot because of the, uh, less than desirable netcode or the quality (or lack thereof) of your internet? Not you specifically, but for some people that’s certainly the case no matter what excuses anyone might use to defend them.
And I don’t get what’s so amazing about paradonyx. True, I haven’t played in too many modes, but he does bsically the same thing you hate ExtremeDarkVoid for: turtles around and hits you with an infinite when you’re not looking. At least with Bayonetta’s glitch, you can still escape (if you were hit with full life). Get hit with an infinite, especially one as braindead and inescapable as Sasha’s, and you’re pretty much screwed. PinkChynaXxX or whatever is a much better Sasha from what I’ve seen. She actually plays the game. Though at least we both agree that he’s not a very likeable person, lol.
As for ping bars, it’s all relative. There are players with 1-bar that play “perfectly” on my end, but players with 3-4 bars that pull ridiculous crap all the time. It’s a combination of the game’s shit netcode and the quality of your internet.
And I would agree with your observations. There are like two Gargoyles (one uses Garuda, too) and I haven’t seen either in some time. You’re the only skilled Oinkie. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a consistently good Douglas.
Also, I’ve noticed an influc of Latin American players in the past few weeks. Tons of Brazilians, Colombians, and Mexi
I too have only seen one person use this. There’s Guy, but I’ve never really played against him. Most people don’t know about it, and even if you do it’s too risky to pull off in battle, especially against the better/“better” players who are the really the only ones cancels might be worth using against.
It’s not just Rins and physical location doesn’t matter. But yeah, I agree. People instantly guarding against 360s, even when they’re in the middle of an attack animation. People breaking through KWH hits with a simple jab. Master Evaders being borderline untouchable (the ability description should’ve also mentioned the stupid i-frames master evaders get, unless, of course, that’s just a product of lag). Lock-on randomly deselecting, while the camera flips out. opponents glitching through your attacks/character. So much bs, but I still play this because it’s addicting.
Nice to see someone from here joining SRK. Be prepared to play as sleazy as possible against the glitchers and laggers. (Unless there’s also just as much bs on PSN; I’m just going by what I’ve seen on Anon’s streams and other videos.) Also, be prepared to play only tag/team deathmatches because no one seems to know there are dozen other modes. Seriously, I was waiting in a tag battle and it took fucking forever to fill up. And once the match ended, half the players left.
And man, did you have to say that ME/GM are some of the best abilities? Enough people use them as is, we don’t need anymore. >.> The logic in using those abilities is that “everyone else does!” which is not just incredibly stupid, but also causes this circular cycle of people blaming others for their use of those abilities. “I use it because he uses it because he uses it because he uses it because I use it because…” It drives people away and that’s not something anyone wants for this game. Wasn’t the ME/GM bs the reason legend91MGS (one of the best players ever) quit playing?
Legend91 still plays occasionally but not very often, I think he just got fed up with the game itself really. I don’t blame him, this game rewards cowards to the max. You can argue its the nature of the game all day, but it gets to a point where it stops being fun and starts being annoying as fuck, I know half the time, I’m basically just: FIGHT ME DAMNIT FIGHT MEEEEEE why won’t you fight me?
Also LOL
I was playing a Japanese BR the other day, scorpian and myself were wreaking havoc on these japanese bastards. One match we both went 7-0 as Jack, #1 me, #2 scorp. That was like the most satisfying F UUUUUUU to these players I’ve ever had. After that we were getting hunted pretty hard, didn’t stop us from wrecking their crap though. The host would constantly tire me from off screen, then just run away and leave me to the wolves. Can’t win em all, but we sure as hell never did TERRIBLE despite their gang-banging efforts. I find it funny though. Japan needs to suck less, most of them aren’t as good as the majority of importers I’ve played.
@magnumknee What cage match proves is how good someone can do without running away or using abilities. Sure stunning does happen but the players that do consistently well are the players that will win. Paradonyx has never ever turtled against me to the point of how other players do it. Don’t get me wrong everyone turtles at some points but he doesnt do it excessively. Pink Chyna isnt great im sorry he/she is just not. As for excuses i’m not making any because it really doesnt matter. Maybe you connect badly to them who knows but i’m just saying i don’t have that problem with them. As for oinkies i have an ok one the other good one is vagrant son, and someone else who i cant remember. @MunozScyther the main bad thing with mathilda is her normal attacks. They are god awful and she gets stunned soooo much. Her 360 glitches alot and people literally can walk through it. You gotta respect the bat but thats it pretty much.
@.Guy Jack is better than expected he has average damage output, but he breaks guards pretty easily. He tends to not get stunned very often compared to other characters. He’s still not great but just food for thought
All that aside i hope the drama on xbox stops soon, just had a conversation about how RE 5’s community turned out and i don’t want it to be like that. Trying to get along with everyone a lot more now. I’ll probably get the PS3 copy soon and hop on that as well and see how the community differs gameplay wise.
Been lurking this shit since I’ve been gone these last 8 or 9 months… the fact that this thread has not left the 1st page gives me hope that the scene is still alive… just in time for my return in two weeks
What do they think about stuff like twitch cancel? I personally am not that impressed with the Japanese players outside of their highly optimized combos and clean execution, but in general they are not too impressive. They play too reserved for a game that expects you to be as dirty and extreme as you possibly can. They don’t like to 360, like they would rather die than 360 as I’d they would be banished from society for doing so.
I like the 2 man team modes, particularly team deathmatch, which to me is like the most skilled based mode, since it contains all the elements of the game minus the pathetically balanced skill system.
@MunozScyther Ai Rin is the most flexible of the sisters, probably the best overall. Fei Rin just has all the online powers. Her JLKW is like a marvel teleport attack online and completely unpunishable and she has the really messed up hit box effects on her KW attacks. She is just incredibly easy to use and get away with a lot of silly stuff, but Ai Rin and Rin Rin both feel like stronger characters in optimized play, IMO.
So uh, here’s what I have so far on my list, it’s not complete or anything but a fair chunk is done and I added a bit of basic information that most people don’t know about.
If you guys have a pastebin account feel free to add or fill in the characters I left out. I can’t be bothered with them. Eventually I’m going to keep adding and expanding as I remember things that work, adding every glitch combo, or lag combo, every wall combo. So for now, this is good.
Wouldn’t be surprised if someone trolled and deleted everything though. I have the original anyway >_>
Any resident Sasha’s or Rin players need to step up and uhh, write their combos out, that’d be cool. No ones really done a definitive combo list and I think it’d be cool to actually fill one out. I got it started.

He can guard cancel his KWLx2. It allows him to recover almost instantly and follow up with attacks that normally wouldn’t connect. To guard cancel KWLx2, tap guard right before the second hit connects. If you do it right, you can follow up with H or another KWL combo.
