So guys what you waitin’ for?
Not many people have this game, and even fewer have recording devices to show combos, and even then not a lot of people have super awesome cray cray combos.
OST is out on amazon and itunes
Gotta support that shit.
Shit, I want the actual cd, but I don’t have $80 for a cd
Funny how Bayonetta still is pre-order DLC and not included in the full game. It was pre-order DLC during its launch in Japan (and not limited to a single retailer).
I guess I’ll double dip and pre-order the NA version just for the extra modes. I couldn’t understand the weird mini-games that Platinum wanted you to do on the Max Anarchy website to get them.
Who wants to play a few rounds tomorrow night?
It’s last minute, so I’m not expecting mad people to be down. If we can get 4 people, though, that would be swell.
What happened to this game being the genre killer that it was hyped up to be?
I didnt even know this came out.
The Japanese version has full English dub so most people imported it. We get it in January for 30 bucks so there isn’t much excuse not to get it. As far as the genre killing goes that is news to me but the game is definitely ambitious and accomplishes new things in the online department. I really wish platinum would port madworld to both ps3 and 360 so we can get some history on these characters.
Max Anarchy definitely accomplishes what it set out to do - make a new innovative style of online game. I’ve never played a game quite like it.
But for it to be a genre killer is all up to the consumers, who mostly haven’t gave it a chance / don’t know what it is due to its obscurity.
Yeah if anything this game belongs in the Powerstone/Smash genre, so it’s party fighting I guess? If that is the case it could be a genre killer but I still got love for Powerstone.
The best description I have ever heard of it is “God Hand meets Unreal Tournament”. Imagine that. But yeah, Powerstone/ SSB is a close comparison as well.
are there a lot of players on PSN, or people that plan on picking this up when it hits US stores? I just caught some gameplay and it looks awesome, but I figure I’ll wait until then.
The games been pretty dead online for the past couple of months due to big releases(TTT2 hit the hardest).
well over 50% of the people who actually have this game have it on ps3 though and only like 1 or 2 people in this thread have it on 360 while everyone else here that has it has it on PS3.
That would be nice but why does it cost so much to import the soundtrack?
I look at it like this: Bayonetta is popular enough now where attaching her name to anything will perk up the people’s ears. Sure as an apology for delaying the game several months she could have been made available on all copies of the game (like how codes for Metal Sonic and Outrun Bay are at least on all first print copies of Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed) but I think by going through with the pre-order bonus plan it will drum up some more attention to the game.
But slashing the price in half more than makes up for the delay don’t ya think?
Definitively the former. It is comparable to Power Stone especially but there is no local competitive action going on. On that note, I think that whatever Capcom has in store with it’s Capcom All-Stars game should be just Power Stone 3. We have enough (too many) traditional fighters and we could use some more 4 player simultaneous action. And if not for an All Stars game just HDify Power Stone 2 (or make a new one).
You’re right about the Bayonetta DLC. It should encourage more people to buy the game for $30, even though its worth double that. I paid like $90 to import it at launch and still not felt buyer’s remorse.
I’m curious to see what Capcom do with this game. A new Power Stone would definitely be interesting, but I don’t know if Capcom will just push a SSB-like game out like Sony did.
Well Capcom is a black hole for new or exciting revamps to old ideas/games so I expect nothing but ‘bold moves’ that are actually a detriment to whatever game they are in (RE6, LP3, Anything with Mega Man, to name a few). The fact that Capcom skipped over Power Stone this entire generation minus the PSP double port bothers me because the game series has been, and continues to be, great for four people to play. Even if enabling online isn’t economically feasible it is a shame that it has been neglected so fast.
It seems that mostly the games coming from Capcom targeted to appeal to Western audiences are the ones that usually turn out to be dumb, mediocre shit, with some exceptions… Such as Dragon’s Dogma. They still put out good Monster Hunter games (right?), and E.X. Troopers looks REALLY good. But those are mostly for Japan only.
Sure… If I get this homework done on time I’ll be down for some matches.
Take your time. If we don’t have 2 more people, we can’t do much of anything.
