I think they have already had some like that. baby left near tiger cage, woman holds baby up in front of panda cage, etc. Darwin takes care of the rest.
May your luck continue to hold.

I dont think it has anything to do with luck. I have a very well trained and a very laid back dog. She gets beat by my cats. Though I would never have a pitbull if I did I wouldnt leave my kids alone with it. Those dogs are…unsafe.
It’ll happen when you least expect it.
All it takes is for the kid to try and grab something the dogs got for it to bite. My grandfather had a Golden Retriever who never bit anyone. We’d ride her, wrestle with her, fetch, you know the perfect fuckin dog then one day my little brother was playin with her tryin to take her bone and got bit. Not the dogs fault but still the perfect dog and she bit someone. It happens. It’s just bad to think “My dog would never bite someone.”
Lol I love lame shit like that. Yeah what happend in your example is your brothers fault. Dont take food from a dogs mouth, dont tease them. Ive been bitten by my dog before, my old dog. She was in a fight with another dog of ours and I tried to break it up. I got my hand too close to thier mouths and I got bit. Shit no it wasnt the dogs fault, it was mine for putting my hand near a snarling fighting dogs face. My grandmas dog bit me once. I stuck a ball in a tree so she would jump up and get it. She couldnt reach it so after the comedy of it wore off I tried to grab the ball just as she was jumping up to grab it. She grabed my hand instead. Not the dogs fault, it was mine. Shouldnt have stuck my hand where the dog was trying to jump up and bite.
Hermit_Naii - 11 years and couting. Maybe one day when I decide that I want a vicious beast dog like a pitbull in my house my kids will get eatin. But I dont think that will happen anytime soon. Probably never.
Well it may be a lame shit example but your the one leaving your 6 month old who doesn’t know any better with a dog. I’m sorry but that’s the kind of situation that’s just asking for that kind of “Lame ass example” to happen. I’m not trying to be a douchebag with lame examples or something. It’s just an example of how that kind of shit can happen even with the nicest dogs and young children.
The example wasn’t about what not to do but that children don’t always know any better and shit happens. I’m sorry you thought it was so “lame.”
Well, I dont have a six month old. I have a 2 year old and a 3 week old and an 11 year old. And yes I leave both the babys inside with her. Sometimes the dog will follow me outside and sometimes she will stay inside. Its always been that way. None of them have been bitten or eatin by my dog or anyone elses dog. My daughter knows not to pull some dumb ass shit like your brother because she could get bit. I teach my son the same thing (yes he has tried to take her chewy) and I’ll teach my daughter the same thing. Im not saying that getting eatin/bitten wont happen to them. It could happen but I doubt it.
I’ll take the risk because im not too worried about it. I never even thought about it till I saw this thread. Why have I never thought about it? Becuase for the most part my dog doesnt even pay attention to the kids. The only one she really bothers is my son. She likes to follow him around and beg for his cookies and crackers.
Its one thing to be bitten by a dog its another to have your testies eatin off.
Of course I was simply saying. I really wasn’t trying to attack your character or anything. There is the risk and I think he was simply saying that he hopes your luck continues to which I was saying that a dog biting can happen easily. That’s all really i wasn’t trying to say you where a bad parent or anything.
Edit: And it’s not that my brother was a dumb ass but more that he was a 1 year old and was just “playing” with the dog. Shit happens. He’d been told not to take her bone but kids don’t always do what you tell them to. Hell I think being snapped on by a dog can be a good learning experience like it was for my brother. He learned not to mess with a dogs shit. Some kids gotta get hurt before they actually learn anything you know? We just hope they don’t get hurt too bad when it happens.

A Topically Relevant Observation
pitbulls basically already have scrotums for cheeks http://images.google.ca/images?q=dog%20jowls
i would probably feel pissed off a lot too if i had to live life with balls hanging off the sides of my face
In 2005 labs had the highest bite rate of any dog breed in my state.
Sounds like you’re a bad parent. Sorry bro. It’s pretty much common knowledge not to leave an infant unattended in a room with a dog, no matter the breed or temperment of the dog. You’d probably leave your kid in a bath tub with half an inch of water unattended, even for a second.
I’m really starting to think that most of these supposedly news threads made on this site is made up come on now, pitbull eats a baby’s testicles, 500-pound woman kills her husband. Man suffocates in woman’s bosom. Monkey molests girl.
General Discussion seems to be full of random shit like this.
Oh, well, that’s definitely true because they there’s never been a case of one biting off a baby’s scrotum. Right?
That really has nothing to do with a breeds overall temperament you know.
Im acctually a very good parent. Its always been this way with me and my family. Dogs have always been around. It must not be common knowlege because im not the only one who I see do the same thing as me. Im also not one of those uptight type parents that worrys to much about what could happen. Right now my dog is laying right next to my baby, shes in her bouncer. Guess what, im gonna go outside and have a cigarette.
The point I made that you seem to have missed is that for all this talk that, once again, pops up around how pitbulls/rotts/etc. are totally normal, non-violent dogs, here’s just the latest case of a pitt/rott/etc. doing something violent. And two weeks from now, somebody else is going to be attacked by a dog and people will still cover their eyes, plug their ears and ignore the pattern that everyone else seems to have discovered.
I dont think these people understand that there is a difference between getting a bite on the hand or foot or leg and getting mualed to death or near death or having your genitals eaten off.
Sure labs may bite a whole bunch but I still havent seen anything on the news about how 3 labs mauled a 12 year old kid to death. Or how a pack of hound dogs were running the streets after eating a 5 year old.
Except it’s already widely known that Pitt stories are given favoritism in the news media. Lots of dogs bit, and violently but they don’t make the news cus it was a lab or a collie and not a Pitt. No ones really saying Pitts don’t bite. We are saying other breeds people think are safer then Pitts are just as dangerous and likely to bite and react violently. 30 years ago it was German shepherds, now it’s Pitts. The real pattern here is that people like to pick a breed of dog and demonize it.

that scrotums-for-cheeks look is what i like to call “sack-jawed.”
notice how they all look surprised? like their mouths are always just about ready to drop open. it’s just the way you look all the time when your whole visage is that droopy.
