yeah that’s the standard loop, i was talking about the far stand jab tick which is safe too
and then you can throw a built in dp into the stand jab for extra pain, there’s a video where a hawk just does it over and over and over to some cammy, it’s terrible lol
Should be 7pm, unless something changed and nobody told me, which wouldn’t be shocking.
Sorry I didn’t make it out on Saturday, but I had to set up for a pinball league meet that I’m all involved with. It sounds like nobody was playing Alpha 3 at all? If that’s the case I’d be happy to swap a second ST PCB into that cabinet next time, if someone brings one along.
Anything else I can do to help you guys out? I’m really happy that it seems to have turned out well and will turn into a regular thing.
bobby - having you support this is awesome. I saw a couple of people play Alpha 3 for about 10 minutes, but there was between 3 and 7 people around the ST machine for 3-4 hours…
Anyone have a camera? It would be great to get some matches recorded.
I was playing Alpha 3… by myself. I would say swap it out if there is no one else jumping on it, but I was having fun.
The Marvel cab is actually still set to .50 for continues. It took a lot of detective work to figure it out. I think the .25 continue may just be for single player arcade. The controls are amazing (on every cabinet) and I really like the new layout with all the cabinets against the wall. The only improvement I would give is having a sign board we could put out on the street that says “ST and Marvel Going on Now” when we are there. I am only 50% joking about this.
The right coin slot on MvC2 jams without the ability to refund. We lost a few coins before Brent got a piece of tape to put over it. MvC2 is indeed $0.50 to continue while in VS mode. That’s not a problem, since Marvel players are hardly low budget.
My only request right now would be for the Marvel cab to be rotated so that it faces further away from the window. Right now, 2nd player has problems seeing the left side of the screen due to the glare.
I’ll be in there in a few hours, so I’ll definitely fix the coin slot issue. I had no idea it was actually eating quarters. For future reference, you guys should always be able to get refunds for lost quarters from whoever is at the counter.
About the MvC2 glare issue, I’ve been trying to come up with a solution there… Basically the PG guys don’t want the cab turned too far as to obstruct the used game wall too much. Maybe I can convince them to at least let us turn it for the day of the meet-ups? Also, we’re going to be hopefully freeing up more space in the back of the store and the arcade may very well be completely re-worked when that happens, so this may be a moot point in the near future. Here’s hoping!
BTW, we’re having a launch for the new Fallout game at midnight tonight, and the arcade will be open until 1am if anyone happened to want to come down and do some late-night battling. We’re having high score competitions on several of the games to win raffle tickets that will go toward a free copy of Fallout, sales on other games in the store, etc. Should be interesting! There’s an event page for it on Facebook: Fallout New Vegas Midnight Release
I did let them know and they were more than happy to give a refund.
And yes, this arcade is amazing. It has pretty much everything I have wanted out of an arcade over the past few years, but have never seen done correctly until now. I will be spending a lot of time there whenever I get up to Seattle.
Thread title updated. Only one person other than myself preferred Sundays, and we were out voiced by far. I don’t know when I’ll show up this week. Have to haul some junk out of my house to make room for Pablo’s new cab. But zass and others had already verbally committed to showing up at 3PM. So if you’re lurking and don’t know whether shit is going down this week, be assured that comp will be there.
Spoke to the owner of the arcade half yesterday. He said that even if he’s not on site, if people are familiar with JAMMA rigs and Jap cab setups, he had no problems with us swapping in ST boards for the duration of the afternoons.
Play catch-up on Sunday. Sessions don’t start until the mid-afternoon, so you’ll have plenty of time to get your affairs in order. Plus, PG closes at 9PM. So it’s not as though we’ll go till 2PM the next day like house sessions.
Yo, you should bring your ST board. My arrival time hinges on when Pablo and Airthrow wake up, cuz they have to truck over to my house and move shit. But we might be able to get all that shit over and done with by noon. Then again, that might be wishful thinking.
My stuff comes in sometime between Wed and Fri next week (later than I thought), so I can’t bring my board this weekend, but would be able to next weekend…
I’ll post up if I think I will be able to make it a particular week. Last Saturday was sort of a fluke, although I may be able to make it down in the evening some nights.
