BTW, what were you shooting with? I haven’t seen that style of Polaroid, and was surprised to see it being used since I heard that all the Polaroid film went kaput or is now super mega rare
Lol, yeah, I’m a kerrnublet so it doesn’t surprise me! I’m usually running everywhere at events because I get SUPER excited to hang out AND play video games. It’s pretty much my favorite pass time.

ahhhh my 600SE, she is a beautiful beautiful thing. it’s essentially a polaroid branded mamiya press. it was built by mamiya for polaroid and can take any medium format roll film back.
yes polaroid as we know it is forever gone. some asshat bought the company when they were bankrupt for the brand name and is now working on producing some sort of inkjet printer that attaches to a digital camera and calling that a polaroid. when production of pack film was axed in june 2008 I bought up several grand worth of 669, and 690 and have been hoarding it like a mutha fucker.
there is hope however. fuji makes color and B&W pack films that are ok, the colors are not as unique as polaroid and you don’t get that instant “70’s” look to everything. also the “impossible project” is set to start producing polaroid compatible instant film in 2010!!! but it’s only integral film and not pack film (boo)
one day I may get on the digital bandwagon, CMOSs have come a long way and there are nice setups that can be used for print work. it just feels dirty to me.

Yeah, I’ve never heard of that shit. I guess I don’t know for sure, but my friend is hella into polaroids and we were crushed when they announced that they stopped making polaroid film… Then we found some news story or something that said somebody paid a bunch of money to fund the remaking of at least some of the film.
Yeah, I know and have heard of an underground group trying to revive it, but I think the cost of chemicals to make the film to the effectiveness of what they’ll get is horribly out of skew

but again it’s only integrated (SX-70/600 series) and not pack (80/100 series). june 2008 was the suck for polaroid freaks, march 2009 is when everything expired though I’ve shot film that was 5+ years past date it makes for some interesting effects.
but if the impossible project people can pull it off at least we may get more of this type of awesome…
