Airthrow Lol I’m dropping Blanka and switching to Bison. My Bison is super shitty
Blanka is stronger than Bison IMO in this game. Bison is good but I think after a certain point there isn’t much depth to him, very basic character in SFIV unlike in ST (where he had weird character and side-corner specific crossup stuff).
I am really looking for a second character other than Rose, I am thinking about Rufus or Viper, probably Viper because her wins are always impressive looking.
I’m just taking up Bison against Sagat. IMO Bison has a better chance of dealing with Sagat than Blanka IMO.
I heard combofiend is wrecking shop at the quals. Hope visits the Philippines this year

I’'m not sure but i think if vega hits you far enough with his wall dive it becomes safe so you wont be able to punish. Not really sure because i rarely block it. I just jump back

@ Kane: Off a few low pokes… I’m new to the game so I can’t give the exact transcript XD He’s the dark skinned guy with glasses, long chin (IIRC… kinda) Plays Boxer and Zangief too. Fond of EX overhead with balrog into more combos. =) I’m sure you know him, I just suck at descriptions.
IMO He could’ve gotten me with a lot of tick throws, but for some reason he did it only once.

I’ll consider it, but as I’m learning, I’m still sticking to Ryu/Sagat/Akuma (I’m decent with them in that order) =P Trust me, eventually, I’d want to learn most characters, but for some reason, expect me to stay away from Gief and Claw =P
@ others: yeah I do jumpback and knock him off it a lot, sometimes throw an ume shoryu if he gets too wall happy… but I didn’t know about that dash part =) Good to know

For sagat’s c.lk, i suggest double tapping the c.lks and finding the proper rhythm with the sound of the tapping

Link to SBO quals? I didn’t join SBO quals, dunno where they are… I am worried only about evo right now. I moved out to my own place so I just got my own xbox and SFIV, about to get a network adaptor and Remix so I can train every day for evo. My goal is to get out of pools for either SFIV or Remix!

I agree. It has its dumb moments, but it can be fun. The whole “poor people actin’ silly to get a prize” thing has been around for years now, and it’s pretty much ingrained into variety shows here. There are worse. Primetime news (from the 2 big channels) alone is really on some tabloid-level schlock, and the weekend showbiz stuff moreso. The afternoon and night drama series are pretty blah too.
Anywho, enough of that. I might be able to drop by at Glorietta Wednesday and Thursday for casuals.

I tried to play rufus… seems… fun yet feels so hard. I’ll stick to Ak/Sag/Ryu for learning for the mean time <3 hopefully, will improve my footsies too since I don’t think I have any =P
And for some reason Raging demons in SFIV are hard T_T and I can’t seem to pull off the ultra… jab jab back short fierce am I right? or have I been reading the wrong FAQs T_T
Its actually pretty easy, the timing is way off if you’re used to the other games.
Rufus is alright, great poke in c.hp, fun dive kick stuff, and good EX’s (qcf+p and qcf+k) and Ultra. I need to practice landing that Ultra (jumping hk or corner qcf+p followup, I think).
