Hi, today I met Kane_warhead at SM North Edsa and Trinoma, he is really cool, as well as a guy named Adrian (who told me he doesn’t post on SRK). They are great people and made me feel like I made friends in the Philippines already.
Unfortunately they didn’t have an ST setup like they used to have, which is my main game…also there were no controls on KOF 2002 (I am pretty decent at it) and the SFA3 Machine didn’t have a working coin slot. So I played one game of CvS2 with Adrian to show off how bad I suck at the game.
If anyone knows where a good setup is for ST, KOF 98 or 2k2 or VF5, please let me know! :karate:
edit: Was that guy who was using Anakaris at SMNE today on Marvel the same guy that I have seen in vids before who posts here? If so I wanted to say what’s up but you had a game face on and headphones, so I thought it’d be rude to approach you.
from what i heard, the timezone in bf homes is about to get sf4 really soon. i don’t know how true that is though…
the popularity of tekken 6 is too much for arcades, i’m planning to learn it soon. The amount of marvel spots are going low to me. I’ve passed by SM north 3 days ago because i haven’t played in such awhile (around 12-3pm noon) and no comp available. I’ve always had this luck passing through those said hot spots, i guess the time i’m available to play doesn’t meet the time when the comp arrives. I go at this time because i hate commuting at night time.
btw kane, you still around taft? Has UM been revived yet or is it done for good? I’m planning to make a visit there… i’m hoping that UM is alive now. I do hope that the person selling tokens now isn’t like the last persons before; taking a 2 hour break every 5 min. :tup:
Yep I was that guy you saw most probably at SMNE around 3pm-7pm I think… Just passed by to kill some time. I used Anakaris Teams, more on casuals though. Didn’t knew some shoryuken poster will see me there haha. I guess you’re a visitor here (Manila)?
I don’t actually play it, I just know how to throw out lots of rocks and pink shit.
Maybe when I come back next year there is a slight chance SF4 will be popular here because so far I LOVE this game… they can just gut out all the stoopid Tekken 6 cabs. :tup:
They have SF2 Hyper machine at Club Synergy or Quantum in megamall (the one near the ice skating rink), which is a pretty decent version of ST (except that old characters can tech throws, which they can’t do in real ST)… only problem is, the player 2 Medium punch pulls out medium kick. Maybe someone who speaks tagalog could get a tech to fix it, heck, if they open up the control panel even I could do it myself.
Also at Megamall they have a really nice KOF 2k2 setup, I was playing some LOUD baklas there yesterday that were nice and very good at the game, I think I only got 3 wins out of twelve or so games. I am hella rusty at all games not ST and VF5. :sad:
anyone up for random bring-your-own-booze/food casuals on the 28th? ST, VF5c, emus (bomberman!!!), rock band, starcraft, whatever, really. i don’t exactly have enough room for 500 people so uhh maybe 10 or so would be cool.
