lmao, so I was sitting beside you that day playing MvC2 like nothing was happening (watching in gaps between matches XD) I’ll be sure to try and talk to you when I see you again, I’m a lil bit shy >_>

So any info on who won the tournaments? I might go tomorrow after enrollment, but I’m not sure.

All the arcade scene is at the Metro Manila region, as for money matches, I can only refer you to MvC2 money matches since that’s my main game, if you want to set up MvC2 money matches here, you can go to the MvC2 board on the arcade section of gamefaqs, there’s a philippine thread there which is a relatively better way to contact anyone you’d want to MM compared to here

So basically, just tell us what games you’d want to play and we can help direct you to the malls where they’re being played

But I’ll post some of the common ones, almost all of them are quantum/club synergy arcades

MvC2:
SM Northedsa (or SM west, same place) - Quantum
SM Makati - Worlds of fun (at the foodcourt)
SM Megamall - Club synergy (beside the ice skating rink)
SM Sta Mesa - Quantum (third floor)
SM Manila - Quantum (third floor)
Not so sure about SM fairview, SM Bicutan, SM Sucat and southmall, but last I checked, there were still people playing there

That’s too bad, I remember I didn’t see any VF cabs last time I was there, and I’ve recently discovered VF5 and how badass it is.

How long will you be here? Leaveal and I had casuals in April-May, but unfortunately, he’s tied down right now, running the family business in Mindanao.

And yeah, sadly, there’s not much in the way of Vf5 or ST (it’s really mostly Marvel and Tekken and 3s from what I’ve seen… I think even KOF has become scarce), though my friends do play both, and I’m trying to learn the ropes of the latter.

There’s also MvC2 @ Timezone Robinson’s Galleria when I last went there. For Tekkens (5/DR/tag/even 6), I suppose there’s almost always a full set of those at virtually every Timezone, IIRC. On arcade in the south (ATC in Alabang if I’m not mistaken) had three T6 cabs. Often though, the comp does leave something to be desired.

I forgot about the MM part of the original question; I just noticed the comp there was almost as good. More surprising is the fact that it’s a Timezone that still had Marvel, with more proper damage setting no less (it used to be Timezones did carry MvC2 but they were all on max damage, which is the craziest thing ever). I definitely know about Syn, having been there many times. Lines of challengers were long though, and I’m no good at Marvel anymore, so I haven’t had a chance to challenge thus far.

Anywho, Marvel stuff seems to be the second most popular in the country, next to Tekkens.

what’s up with the age limit? 25yrs old is too old for them already? i’m 26 and still an avid gamer, what if i want to enter? and i know a lot of gamers too that are much older than me…
