I feel like a lot of people in my area talking about getting into it will realize what the game is… and that it’s an anime fighter.
Sure, some of the Marvel kids might be able to get into it, but the SF4 guys… man… I don’t know…
My friend mentioned to me that this game might be region locked on all formats. Has there been any confirmation in regards to this? This important bit of news kinda passed me if so. Plus being a YUROP player, we have no announced release yet so I was looking at the NA version. I’m guessing not and it’s just a silly little rumor floating around gamefaqs since I’ve seen nothing on it at all in this thread or on Mayonaka Midnight.
I hope it isn’t region locked. I am in the US during August release date and wanted to bring it back to the UK with me for my EU PS3.

Thing is chibi I think that the status of BB and GG communities does need to be DISCUSSED (read: intelligent input from various parties)
while the game is new…you can’t deny that its marketed to the same people that play these other titles. Its the newest anime game with a localized release …I think what the fgc needs to consider is what made those communities (in the us) flatline, who managed those communities, and who were the leaders. If we don’t learn from the past how can we pave way for a weaboo future …its more constructive than just saying “ITS A NEW GAME FORGET ALL OF THAT”

Ryan didn’t play as much as expected.
It was more Hsien, Markus, and I.
Man, I miss those days. Markus was sick in BlazBlue, and Hsien was Hsien (he plays more SF4 now).
Markus quit fighting games. Hsien is too big of a weeaboo to NOT play Persona 4.

I haven’t heard anything about that really. At least, nobody I know from DL’s mentioned it to me. That being said, so maining either Kanji, Yosuke, or Naoto. The wrestling fan in me won’t let me not at least sub Kanji purely on account of the “steel chair as a weapon” bit.
I thought it was coming out August 31st for Europe, although in any case I hope it isn’t region locked for PS3. I don’t really see why it should be, but you never know.

Just because the game will have people from various ‘anime’ communities digging into it doesn’t mean we have to start evaluating said communities. We need to be ready to build a scene with this game, that’s it.
Pretty much. If the game’s fun, and is solid with decent fundamentals, that should be all that’s needed to start a scene. Constructive things don’t happen on account of criticizing the people who play it.
I’ve only seen that date on 2 stores here in the UK but the guy I talk to (Geraint Evans of Zen United, the publisher) hasn’t given a solid release date. It’s still just 2012 as of now.
