apparently there are some strict timing on the game, as you can see players dropping combos that look simple yet they arent as simple as they seem
If this is true, I’d shit my pants.
Edit: How strict is the timing? Not like super strict right? Because I’m a fraud and I want my giant input window.
That’s like the most general question you could possibly ask about a game
Are you saying we might be getting tight SF style links? God damn it…
no, im saying that there are some stuff that is harder to do than what it looks
also links are something that every game has, but contrary to what sf4 did, they are something emergent, you still have easy combos, but there are others that are more damaging but require better timing
Because my favorite game is the one where there isn’t a hard combo
Oh, ok. Then I’m guessing that this difficult combo execution is character specific.
If I lay UMVC3 and Skullgirls in the comparison. Is it about in the middle of both?
Not sure if these have been posted yet. SBO qualifier replays from last weekend.
Teddie needs to be much bigger.
Btw, sorry if this has been discussed before, but anyone reach a verdict on P4U’s comeback mechanic?
Seems like they had a good idea going for it (I like the way it’s triggered, as you must be in some kind of natural state for it to activate. You can die without having go into comeback/rage mode).
My only problem is that the supers in that mode are really, really fuckin’ good. Like, yeah I understand why they’re supposed to be good, but some are just so damn amazing.
All I know is I’m going all out on this game.
Bought Capture Card equipment and what not just for this game. I think I’ll come back to fighters with this one.
I FUCKING JIZZED. IN MY PANTS. HNGRHHHHHHHH. LABRYSSSSSSSS.
Also, 10 internets says NA and EU won’t get this awesome box art.
10 internets, TEN internets!? That’s not a lot of internets, playing it a bit safe aren’t we?
Yeah, this is probably the next and second game I think I’m going to try getting seriously good at, like tournament style good, even if it turns out to be Shaq Fu bad (which, strangely enough is my first main (not really))
And the rage mode thing I thought auto-triggered at a certain amount of health? Maybe I read it wrong.
the awakening mode triggers at a certain amount of health, 35% to be precise, but it doesnt activate if you are being comboed
you can read more deatils about the game here

Sucka, you play AE, Marvel 3, and Skullgirls.
You have no standards!
Just get persona 4, pretend you like.
Then pretend you hate it, and go back to x factor vs mash dp 4.
Hey, I resent that. Minus Marvel which I have actually gotten serious about, AE I picked up like literally three weeks ago just to learn the fundamentals, and Skullgirls is about as much fun as SfxT, fun to fuck around in, not something I feel like taking too serious.
I swear, I have standards!
Real deal on that cover art is teddy standing like a boss in the background. What the american version needs is that enlarged and it’ll be perfect.
Game needs to stop teasing me and come out already. Bad thing about internet and modern fighting games is I get to see video of other people having fun before I can even play the game. At the same time it’s saying “You wish you could do this” … yes … i do.
Naoto/Yu combo video.

What I have learnt from this video.
-Naoto is capable of doing craptons of damage without needing to use Mudo, however the setups required are pretty impractical (raw kick super?)
-Naoto believes that she is a pinball.
-Yu is capable of OTG’ing after his slash super, this is likely achieved by landing it on Yu’s opponent in while they are directly on top of him in the air, so that they cross over him and are behind him for the rest of the super, thus negating pushback created by the super.
This allows Yu to do absolutely silly damage off any hit confirms so long as he has the 50 stock for the super.
-Shadow Yu appears in the video, looks o be pretty much an exact clone of Yu except with darker skin and a blue glow, no attacks are shown so I cannot tell if he is a complete clone of Yu or not, however as of right now I believe he is probably just an unlimited version of Yu.
