KoFXII was also $50 on release, so the “fiasco” had nothing to do with it.

It still does in some places. Take the local Navy store in my area. Sure there’s no tax to pay (which is one of the benefits of being in the military, or having a family member be in the military) but sometimes those stores are slow to catch up on the values of games. I remember seeing lonely, new, unopened copies of BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger sitting on the shelf still being sold for $59.99 when Continuum Shift was out for a while. :lol:
I worked in a game store myself when KoFXII came out. We sold it for $50. That was the listed price we got.
I’m pretty sure KoF XII was $60. That was one of the main complaints about the game, being completely unfinished and costing full price.

As much as I love Persona 4 and 2D fighters, I wouldn’t pay over $39.99 for 10 characters and budget animation…unless there’s a serious HUGE ass story mode.
So for people who have been paying attention to this game. Which character would be most like Vega, or Rolento from SF, or Hazama from BlazBlu? Like reach + mobility?

Naoto is pretty much going to be in this, I’m curious how her elemental attributes will play into the archetype she will be shoe horned into.
