Well to be fair the fighter game is based off the rpg series where they already did many many hours on character development/story so its not too weird anyway. You can easily catch up by just reading about it on the wiki/manga or watching the anime if you don’t have time to invest on the rpg

How is the 360 version borked? Makes no sense. Especially considering Arc’s track record with online - and this seems like their most important release yet. Something’s off about this.

Huh, so that’s what happens when you get it up to level 8…

I wonder how they let the netcode issues slip by. ASW has seemly always been rather good when it came to making sure BB’s netcode was working right on both consoles. No way ASW won’t get this fix soon. Total killjoy, but, I’m not going hit the panic button yet.

edit:I recall something like this happen on the first few days of BBCT when it was released in Japan. They already had a patch out before the US date, so, it might end up the same for this.

Does anyone have a high resolution png version of this image? I’m trying to make some fight stick art, but all I can find are jpgs… and they are grainy as hell :-/.

Yea, true dat.
I remember BBCT was so awful. After 1 round, shit would lag so bad, it was “WTF?!”.

Patch came out, it was the best net coding anyone ever did see.
Then, CS1 came out… and it was never the same…

the funny thing is that everyone keeps saying that, but from my experience, not only the netcode performs the same, i can easily say that BBCS onward there were improvements, because on CT i wasnt able to connect with some friends that live in the same city, and on CS and subsequent games we were able to play online, despite we never changed anything on our ends, or our IPS

netplay is one of this weaird things that can be a hit or miss, many people say that mk9 has an awful netcode, but i have been able to play online basically lagless with other people, and from my experience it run better than sf4, mvc3 and even 3so, no, im not kidding :open_mouth:

So has it been confirmed that it is unplayable online on 360 by others or are we still just going by Kubo’s word?

I’ll see once I get the game. I wish more people would post their opinions from Japan.

Still just Kubo afaik. For all we know there was something up with how his Xbox was routed to the internet.

The person from that article said that it’s also bad. He even says its as bad as KoF12 lol.

He doesn’t say it’s bad first-hand; he just cites Kubo and some other internet people.
So for now the most credible opinion is still Kubo’s, which represents a sample size of 1.
