That works too lol. I just don’t want our main discussion thread to be named ‘Waifu Battles’. As if this game doesn’t already have a bad rep for being “stupid anime shit”.
Well the GenDis thread should be decently detailed, not overkill, but at least have some starter information for players who want to get into it.
“Waifu Battles” thread is simply stating who your favorite persona female fighter is based on how i saw it and is a thread for fun in comparison (which is not bad, but its different then this thread where their is gameplay discussion, video footage, news updates, etc)
However, Its** likely** a new thread will be made once the game is released that would become general discussions. This thread is how the game was being followed pre-release for consoles and would probably get locked once a new thread gets made (saw how things went for Skullgirls threads)
Also: Yeah agree the general discussion should not be called “waifu battle” or something along those lines . It would give the uninformed lurkers a negative impression of the game and think “lolz anime cheesecake fighter”. It should be something like “Midnight Channel” or something thats relatable to the game not something that sounds like it came from Fakku
It’s more them policing something they won’t have any control over 
Well of course not realistically where it takes one bored dude who got a copy early and posts spoiler content. Especially In this day and age of the internet where piracy is a common sight and information travels fast. However, it seems more like a request from Atlus telling/requesting the fanbase to reduce (reduce is the more realistic goal then none) the amount of anything spoiler related until the game is officially released.
This move could get good results since it might have convinced some people to hold off their story mode walkthroughs for awhile, or it can horribly backfire as it would give certain individuals a sense of challenge and do it anyway despite not caring if Atlus never mentioned this warning at all in the first place.
Main point: Atlus saying all this sounds odd
Atlus said like 2 or 3 years ago they were already working on Persona 5. So… maybe?
Also, is there anyway to get this thread moved to the P4A board? I’d hate to have to make a new Discussion thread.
I would like to see this discussion moved to P4A since i could also see people posting off topic in the tier thread also. Need something there, even if this one is only temporary.
Not sure how it’s “odd” they’re preventing any leak info from coming out to spoil the game from anyone else. Seeing as what type of people Atlus is catering to, it makes sense they would want to enforce this and stuff.
I heard that they actually do enforce it on Nico at least, but not on Youtube.
Haha, story spoiling would kind of suck but w/e. I have avoided Dark Knight Rises spoilers pretty handily. This isn’t too hard but gotta respect! They must have some good reveals in the story. Maybe we are going to be treated with some DLC character twists.
