I’m considering going to this now, looks pretty interesting.
I don’t really know whether I’ll be staying in a hotel (it would be nice if some people I know wanted to chip in) or driving down the 30 minute trip each day…
That is a good idea.
I could host 2-3 people, long as they help clean up any mess and are out by noon Sunday.
2 people can def sleep on the couch, side room couch has a hide-a-bed.

PAX is pretty neat, and if you’re into games enough to frequent this website it’s probably worth going for at least a day
Other than tournaments for most any popular game:
You can play just about any game you want with a number of people there, be it of the video, card, role playing, or board variety
You can also check out new and upcoming games, many of which are playable, and get various bits of swag
So it’s worth it if you’re interested in new games or playing any games competitively with others

It looks like they’ll be having a CS:S tournament… Guess I’m going to have to break out the old mouse/mousepad and show them some cool ish.
Tepid, I’d like to meet you sometime. It’s just really odd to me if I were to ask to stay at your place, but never having met you. 
Going to GW on thursday?
Yup they always have a CS, Starcraft and Warcraft 3 tournament. Haven’t checked the schedule this year though.
they also have WoW arena tournaments…i think 3v3…

I went to a GGXX tourney at PAX like six years ago and got 2nd or 3rd and won four xbox games haha. There was hella people, I’m actually looking forward to this tourney. Two big tournies up here this summer that’s sick.

I was at the first PAX at Maydenbauer. I was working at Lanwerx in Silverdale at the time and I was helping run the CS tournaments in the PC area … those were our computers running the tournament haha. Really congested in that small area. I’m sure it’s bigger and better now, but I haven’t been back since. Anyone who is going, hope you have a good time!
We must have met back then man, I was the guy who won the CS tourney. I dropped 20 bombs in every match. My team mates were: Zarg, jarhouse, Phiveye and Fallout.
You play CS? I’m trying to get a squad of people to go wreck at the next one with me. I think I might have Paul G with us, he’s been playing lots of 1.6 lately so his shot will be on.

You probably saw me at one point, but it’s been so long that I can’t even remember who I saw there. I came in toward the end of the second day and I was pretty much doing maintenance on the PCs that were there. Kept to myself and didn’t talk to anyone outside of the Lanwerx staff. =P
I only played CS casually due to my working at Lanwerx. Never really took it seriously, though. I did play the bajeezus out of that horrible CS Source, though. Played the beta back when the only map was Dust and you could jump on the roofs and AWP’d the shit out of everyone and then peeps would get mad like, “HOW DID YOU GET UP THERE HACK OMG HACK” 
but then they fixed that and I never played it again.
LOL I remember that bug. I think the most time I spent at LAN centers was when CS:S beta first dropped. All the hardcore people hate on Source, never understood why. Afraid of change? I’ve been playing since 1.3 or so and I loved it.
