you lose more points for quitting than losing.
I can’t say you’re wrong because I haven’t checked that out but wouldn’t that depend on how many points the person your fighting has got? unless quitting also takes their points into account. Due to the fact that you will loose a lot more points to loosing against someone with low points as apposd to high points.
you can at max lose 128 points in a loss (with a 2070~ PP differential) ragequitting is also 128, but has a repeater penalty however. starts at 128, but can go up to 400ish
Did not know that. Now I’ll feel a little better knowing the fuckers lost all them points haha. Though I’m sure they still end up feeling better knowing they stopped me from getting any
How about ragequitters get a ban from online play for 15 mins. Penalty and lose pp’s?
That’s a good idea. It would ruin LTG’s stream though hahaha
Randomly when I play a 0pp player I lose 128pp after I win. I wish capcom fix that.
I’m pretty sure they lose like 120ish points for quitting tho there may be a loophole.
That video of LTG rage quitting to a hugo 3x he talked about point loss for rage quitting.
Yeah you do, at the same time it’s still annoying cause bitch ass people will still do it just to piss you off cause they know you won’t gain any points.
Aside from all of this talk, on pc you can just cut your connection and you don’t loose points. I play windowed so if other people were they could either unplug ethernet or just right click their network and disconnect, this doesn’t count as quitting so they don;t loose points. My mate tested this.
I thought about this before. What would be the best way to punish a player that leaves before a match is over?
There is one PC game in particular that i think has a excellent system that deals with quitters.Counter Strike : Global offensive
If a player quits a matchmaking-rank-ranked-match that player won’t be able to play ranked again for another 30 minutes.
The system also has what one would call a built-in memory so it keeps track of repeated ragequits.
If it happens more than a couple of times , the player will eventually get a 1 week cooldown.it goes from like 30 mins > 1 hour > 1 day > 2 days > 1 week
This is by far the best way to deal with the whole thing imo. As i can tell you first hand that it scares people and makes them not want to quit.
Console devs should take note from PC games such as CS:GO
QFT
didn’t scrubs like kaxblastard figure out a way to ragequit without losing their points?
And no, time penalty for disconnect is a terrible idea. What if it isn’t your fault that you disconnected from the match? All that would happen to your opponent if you DC’d is that they didn’t get useless points for beating you.

Yeah you can just pull your Ethernet or disconnect from network and you don’t loose points apparently.

I had a 4k Ryu player quit on me just as I was about to finish him off. It wasn’t an ALT + F4 ragequit either… took like 15 seconds. He came back into my lobby with the same amount of points like 3 mins later.
So yeah I think that’s what the proest rage quitters are doing these days.
