why are all of our tournaments on xbox 360? That thing is junk, Plus aren’t tournaments usually ran on the PS3 instead?
This makes it hard for me to play since I can’t afford another stick, or near the price for someone to dual mod my ps3 one.
If anyone wants to be my partner, and has a 360 stick I could use, please let me know!

Venue fees generally go to the organizers itself. How it’s cut is their business.
After looking back, this is something I should’ve done myself. The venue and players(winners, usually) benefit the most, so it’s time for the organizers to have some sort of cut.
Organizers put in the most effort and often are underpaid, if they’re paid at all.
There’s no scene without organizers, venues or players.
I never charged no venue fees when I did 3S tourneys. I didn’t need to get paid for annoucing and organizing a tourney, I just wanted people to come play. I say one flat tournament fee…10$ per team???

It’s not so much for getting paid or turning some profit, but to hold an organizers interest in running such events. These things take time and energy to run, as well as other resources including streaming, consoles, sticks, bracket runners and even stream commentators.
The old days of tourney organization is over.
