Id say max out the ram and new vid card, Prob will get up to a B or even a A ranking. Im sure you can get ram cheap and a decent vid card these days.

Single Core HOLLA :lovin:
everything low/off except background quality. (High)
I said it twice and I’ll probably end up saying it some more, but YES. Speed will be fixed. This is a benchmark, so they don’t care how CONSTANT your display is. They just want to let you see how fast it can possibly go.
V-sync in this benchmark is really only for people who want to set it on loop and use it as a store display/screensaver or something.

I was getting frustrated so I stopped the benchmark, lol. I shouldve been patient and let it run, but when I get home today Im gonna let it run in its entirety. It was going kind of bad (fps) and going real slow, so I thought my PC was too weak, even tho I meet the minimum. I guess I wont really know until I let the benchmark finish. Also I really didnt play with any settings. Any suggesstions? Ive never gamed on a PC before, so I have no clue on what to do.

500GB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s, Integrated 7.1 channel sound w/front audio ports.
I also say a new graphics card and upgraded to 2 gigs of ram. However, if you absolutely had to choose one I guess I’d go with graphics card. Then again, memory is cheap these days.
ran it with default settings and just upped the resolution
Nice. I have the same processor, and I am going to upgrade my [defective] 9500gt to a 9800gt for my 1280 x 1024 resolution. Just want 60fps and I’m good.
Thanks Vince and Suko
Looks like this game is only really gpu intensive (which makes total sense since its a fighting game) since it runs in fights averaging about 50fps (dropped to like 35 after the last scene with all chars on the screen but not revelevant imo) and im running an old system but with a good vid card:
P4 2.8ghz, 3 gb RAM, Ati HD 3850 AGP.
Pretty amazed it ran so well seeing as its like a 5 yr old system (besides the vid card) will def pick it up for pc now.
the CPU is very important as well
I just ran it on my laptop, which has above recommended settings and it bogged hard on even on lowest settings. It might have something to do with Windows 7 64-bit beta. Guess I have to fix my desktop in order to play sfiv.
EDIT: 11-18 fps, in case anyone wants a good laugh
I am a PC gamer as well as console (certain genre’s for certain platforms) SF I play on the PS3. With the amount of cheating that goes into online fps games on the PC, and the amount of people that try to skew their stats, via DC lag switch etc. on the console SF, I can only Imagine the macro’s/scripts people are going to invent to completely ruin this game online.
It could get bad.
Ya, I don’t have super high hopes for the online modes. All I really want is for this version to be faithful to the arcade, so I can at least build skill and work from there. If possible, SRK players should create a server/room or something to minimize the potential of playing those types of people.
But first, lets just hope for a good port.
I cant wait to see what my score is.
Fixed it for you.
I’ll download this when I get home from work. I don’t plan on getting the game for PC as I like 360 a lot more and I haven’t stressed this PC since like…Source. Still, I’d like to see how my rig would stack up with this game.
I could create a script that allow Ken to do 38 hits combo. Rofl
Btw my benchmark:P

4850 is @ 16x AF also. low resolution but i was pretty surprised it did as well as it did.
edit: without AA and AF i averaged 142.85FPS at that resolution. going to try it on my ancient 9600 pro athlon 2500+ system now.
fuck me! i made the game full screen in a resolution my monitor doesnt support. it launches like that to now. can someone post a screenshot of the settings menu so i can figure out how to change it back?
nvm got it. its the third row down.
Couple of benches:
*1280x1024@85Hz. All settings to Highest, V-sync Off. *

1600x1200@75Hz. All settings to Highest except for AA set to 4x. V-sync Off.

1600x1200@75Hz. All settings to Highest except for AA set to NONE. V-sync Off.

At 1600x1200 not much graphical difference between one with AA and one without. Compare (these are at full resolution screenshots):
Gen @ 4xAA
Gen @ NO AA
That “extra touch” option looks like shit! WTF is that for?
Can’t wait for PC version. Custom skins FTW!
I bet the first ones will be nude Cammy just like when CvS had that color edit mode.
Custom textures would be nice too, maybe a realistic higher res texture with pores.
