Completely maxed settings to what i can put.

very playable so i wont change the GPU xD

It’s the video card, I’m at the top-end of the 7 series (512MB GTX). Oh, and I’m running Vista Ultimate.

SCORE: 9581
AVERAGE: 59.79FPS
OS: Windows XP Professional x64 Edition
CPU: Intel® Core™2 CPU 6600 @ 2.40GHz

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT

Runs beautifully. If I turn on AA, combat is still fine, but the intros and Ultra activations get bogged down. Eh, AA’s not that important anyway. I kinda like the ink filter effect…I’m gonna try the other filters next.

Nobody told me this… I put the highest settings and highest resolution on the benchmark and my PC did around 30-40fps and the game looked much slower. It has to be 60 FPS to be the regular game speed. I know for other games 30 FPS and above is good, but for SFIV if its lower than 60 FPS it gets slower. Also if its higher than 60 FPS the game goes turbo speed. Try it.

Man, I love the 8800GT…I can basically throw anything at it and the game will still play great. I set everything to high (AA is kept off) and I still get close to 60 FPS.

I’m uploading it on, MegaUpload, hopefully will be another hour or so.

Edi: WTF, it just uploaded an almost 400MB file in less than five minutes. he links below, I’m redownloding it to make sure it’s actually been upload and not just smoke and mirros,…Wow it usually takes around that time to download.

Edit: Nest is correct for this game, itt’s been designed to run at 60fps specifically, and it’s very important if you want to pull off the combo’s if you are getting slowdowns your timing is going to be completely off and you’ll have trouble, that’s why the PS3 and 360 version suffer no slowdown whatsoever. nearly every 3D game I’ve played has slowdowns at some point, but not SFIV, as a steady 60fps is really important. If you play this at 50fps, and then against your friend on the PS3 or 360, you’re combo’s won’t comeoff as the timing will be off completely.

I can confirm this too. I wonder, for people that somehow don’t notice this, have they ever played or watched SFIV vids?

Also, turn Frame Rate to variable rather than fixed to see it in better effect.

Does fixed Frame Rate help anyone? It doesn’t even bother to lock the FPS to 60, hovering around 70 instead, so I’m getting turbo speed. Vsync sucks.

Here are the results for my laptop:

SCORE: 9091
AVERAGE: 54.50FPS
OS: Windows Vista™ Home Premium
CPU: Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU P8400 @ 2.26GHz
Memory: 3070MB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT
Display Setting: 1440x900 60Hz

Not to bad I guess, but I did expect to do a little better.

Just for the hell of it, I maxed out the AA, and this is what I got:

SCORE: 5764
AVERAGE: 47.68FPS
OS: Windows XP Professional x64 Edition
CPU: Intel® Core™2 CPU 6600 @ 2.40GHz
Memory: 4094MB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
Display Setting: 1280x1024 60Hz C16xQAA

I got a D ranking…with everything on low…

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XYDM8IZG Well it definitely uploaded the file, bit shocking but true.

I’m also uploading to Rapidshare but that really is taking an hour or more to upload. and knowing Rapidshare they’ll probably delete the files after a few hours when someone complains it’s copyrighted. might need to rename it to something else…chicken noodles test maybe?

can anyone tell me which one of these is suitable for my pc ?

-Sapphire Ati Hd4850 512m Gddr3 Pci-E Hdmi / Dvi-I / Tvo
-Sapphire Hd3850 512m Gddr3 Pci-Express X16, Dual Dvi-I, Hdmi, Tv Out
-Sapphire Ultimate Hd4670 512m Gddr3 Pci-Express, Dvi-I; Hdmi; Vga
-Asus Ati Radeon Hd 4830 Eah4830/Htdp/512md3a

here my actual pc/sf4 benchmark:

SCORE: 8838
AVERAGE: 39.26FPS
OS: Windows Vista™ Home Premium
CPU: Intel® Pentium® Dual CPU E2160 @ 1.80GHz
Memory: 2046MB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS
Display Setting: 640x480 60Hz

now… since i DON’T care about HIGH RESOLUTION and AA/filters ,does one of those graphics card improve my experience of playing? [i can bare 640*480-800*600-1024*768, but 60fps are needed] [I WON’T spend more than that]

:hitit:

This is a benchmark. Its trying to judge performance, not be playable. Framerates are always varrying in games like this, even on console. The game itself keeps it looking smooth. If its timing changed 1:1 with the framerate, netplay would be impossible.

Thanks for trying, but those were 15kb a sec for me. Fortunately, I found another torrent.

good to see those 8800GT’s beasting. picked up that card last summer and have been extremely happy with it, just wanted to make sure it was all good for this version.

saw comparable specs to a couple people that posted, so I should be set (at work anyway, no way to check atm).

Well the first and second both sound like the same card and should meet your needs, as should the 4830, However if you can find it, I’ve heard allot of good thing about the 4770, this has GDR5 RAM installed making it probably the best mid-low card available.

But if you look at the test results you get the feeling that Capcom have optimised the code to run on Nvidia cards instead of ATi. so might want to look at Nvidia.

i know about Nvidia but cant find a cheap one that supports VGA output, only DVI (my monitor doesnt support DVI) :frowning:

edit: what about the ASUS NVIDIA EN9600GT 512MBddr3 or Zotac Geforce 9600gt Synergy Edition
?
