i mean, im a fan of the fast and furious franchise, but imma be honest with you, this death fucking like wailed on the string of human consciousness globally so hard, and im shocked myself. if any one in that cast would have died except paul walker, it would be, “omg are you serious, that fucking sucks, and lol’ing at some of their terrible movies, bad acting, etc…”, but with paul walker, everyone stopped and was like whooooa, GET…THE…FUCK…OUTTA…HERE.
a majority of those people didnt even track his life much, they just seemed to be hit by this unconscious tidal wave of sadness. for me as a fan it sucked a lot, and i really admired his life outside of those movies too. he was kinda really brian in real life. he was a real street racer from cali, knew the scene. he had goals outside of acting first, and used it for a paycheck, and it randomly turned out to be great. he was a humanitarian and giver, and he was just a regular kinda cali dude, who didnt make the news for dumb shit ever. just surfing, racing, doing movies, and helping people. from the outside in, he seemed super legit. but thats from a perspective of someone who has looked him up a bit over the years.
why its pulling the heart strings of so many randoms, i cannot say, but his death is kinda like, wtf, wow. to be honest, i think if he was the driver, and died in a random accident by his fault, it would be oh damn, wtf that sucks. but the fact that he died as a passenger, everyones nightmare, and got physically demolished by the crash, then burnt the fuck up to a crisp, is like, O_O, is this real life.

The reason why it sucks because at the end of F6 you had Statham introducing himself as the bad guy for F7. The reaction I had was “oh shit… F7 is going to be awesome. Vin Diesel, the Rock, vs Statham!” Paul Walker’s death just dented that potential of that awesomeness. What real man would not be bummed about that?

It sucks that the man mean is dead. I have watched all the F&F movies, and a couple other PW movies. I cant speak for the rest of the world, but I only give a thought to a celeb death if I cared about their work about some point. I was into cars before F&F came out, so obviously I was there in my car watching people jack around in cars after the movies let out, getting pulled over, ect. He and this franchise, for better or worse, became part of what I do.
