Patch notes nerfs?

I’m not sure. Like I’ve said previously (or elsewhere at least) I can’t accurately get damage numbers because my TV is very low res on the sides. I can check it to make sure.

I went back and checked the combos, I was right. I forgot to mention it but SS is ALSO buffed in damage. So Double SS still does Max Damage.

However now the difference between that and the BnB is really miniscule. We’re talking 10-20 damage difference. At this point, up to you if you want the easy or the mildly annoying stuff.

Absolutely. I was starting to get the double SS down in Vanilla anyway. Still can’t hit that Ivory Cutter at the end though.

Look at how high they are floating and adjust your timings to make the float higher. There are numerous ways to get it to work mang.

Tatsu combo is still the best combo BnB IMHO. It sets up great situations:
Safe tag, Safe jump, switch cancel, roll reversal, etc.
And it does more damage. 466 from a j.fierce/roundhouse.

the easy bnb and the tatsu have the same end result so…yeah it only comes down to damage

I haven’t had much time yet to try out Nina her new stuff, but the first thing i tried was doing a combo of her newly gained lk.geyser AA.

  • AA lk.geyser, ss, cr.hp xx ss , cr.hp xx hp.blonde bomb = 358 damage
  • AA lk.geyser, walk forward, ivory cutter, backhandslap = 338 damage
  • AA lk.geyser, ss, cr.hp geyser, hp.blonde bomb = 334 damage
  • AA lk.geyser, ss, cr.hp xx hk.geyser, ivory cutter = 334 damage
  • AA lk.geyser, ss, cr.hp xx hk.geyser, launcher = 334 damage

1 bar Solo

  • AA lk.geyser, ex ss, ss, cr.hp xx ss, cr.hp xx hp.blonde bomb = 428 damage

1 bar Tag(Jin)

  • AA lk.geyser, ss, cr.hp xx hk.geyser, ivory cutter TAG(Jin) b.mp>lp CADC, cr.mp, cr.hp xx ss.mp = 441 damage

Pretty standard stuff so if someone else knows better and more consistent AA lk.geyser combos…that would be awesome.

For more consistant damage start confirming her st.mp into cr.hp since they sped it up soo much.

But…how would that help when using her lk.geyser as an anti air…lol

The only time i would use cr.hp in a link is if i´ve already confirmed if i´m hitting, meaning either of these two things:
Jump attack, st.mp…
cr.lp,cr.lp…

Anyway another question, what is the use of Nina being able to tag cancel from her lp and mp blonde bomb, i couldn´t increase the damage even with Steve above something that Nina couldn´t already do by herself with one bar or tagging at the end of her juggles. Resets, Pandora?

Anyone else having a hard time with Nina’s combos now? Her cr.hp is so fast now that I keep dropping everything online, lol.

lol yes! Not online offline, if i do the BnB to fast i miss the last geyser every time.

I either miss the Geyser or the Blonde Bomb at the end of the combo. Feels like I have to relearn all her combos or something. I’m starting to get the hang of the timing, but this might be one of the few times my character gets buffed and it messes me up, lol

After a blocked lp-mp is lk geyser or lp SS safe? Would like to know wat does nina have that keeps her pressure up… I usually cross up with j.mk, lp-mp or cr.lp, st. lp-mp (this confirm my hits) when i see its blocked i do lp SS or lk geyser, dunno the frames on block but i would like to do cr.lk, lk geyser after ever cr.lk sway…

neither are safe. just use rolling dash or cadc to stay in if you wish

Timing on the geysers is a little different, but you can watch how they fall and react. The hardest thing to time is if you go for a hp blond-bomb ender–they need to be really low for it to hit. It’s pretty easy to hit a lp blond-bomb ender, but it’s less damage.
BUT doing ivory cutter into arm snaps after a single geyser is only one damage less than landing the hp blond-bomb after two geysers. And it looks cooler. Killing more time may or may not be a plus.

best thing is that meter gain was buffed on grab and arm break, making it a viable choice. pre-patch it was 0 meter.
now its:
• Backhand Slap: whiff 5->10/On hit 20->30
• Arm Break: whiff 0/On hit: 30
• Double Arm Break: On hit 0->40
Blonde Bomb: On hit 0->40
30+30+40 = 100.
geyser variation gives cr.hp(no idea how many meter that gives)+geyser40+cr.hp+bomb40 = 80+2x cr.hp

so in the end it ivory-grab builds less meter, but its much harder to drop and a good way to waste time.

for the geyser - SS - crHP - SS crHP - BB combo, all i can say is that it’s not that hard if you keep in mind the different speeds/ranges of the SS.

if you seem to be doing everything too fast, use the HP SS since it is a tad bit slower

off of anti air geyser, the first SS should be HP just to get close to them and not whiff

imo the overhead ender combo (geyser crHP SS crHP SS overhead)
is too hard
