EDIT: why do you guys use PS3s? not only are they more expensive but they have slight input lag.

well is there a reason the box only uses ps3s?
what i think is because the majority of super players play on ps3
not a lot of people play on xbox and everyone buys or has sticks for the ps3
i dont mind using 360 only but people dont have sticks and that would be a big issue and a lot of people might not have 360 set ups to bring
maybe in the future people will realize it
but as of now
everyone is using it i think warzone is the only tourney ive seen use xbox and god garden lol
but evo, ai tournies, and most tournies in sd use ps3 only

my two cents, let’s just say
ps3 is not slower or laggy – xbox happens to process things faster. iirc 3rd strike has the same issue between arcade cab and ps2 version where ps2 version is a little faster. more people own xboxes because they’re relatively cheaper and online is better, but i don’t think it’s too huge of a deal as long as you can get some warmup games and adjust.
also, most of us have TE sticks. 360 TE’s natively have the PCB issue where roundhouse button will randomly go out. i’ve had this happen more than once, and all of them playing the same person in a 2/3 set. ps3 TE’s do not have this issue.
i personally have the luxury of playing on either console to prepare for tournaments – when ssf4 came out i played exclusively on ps3 until evo was over with. but i never really felt like i had to adjust my timing too much. you can recreate this experience as well if you go to sessions where either console is available – if you don’t have a dualmodded stick then just borrow someone’s stick.
at the end of the day… i prefer ps3 tournaments <3
Never had one! I was just with the crowd at the time, haha. I had a 240 and now my Si. My friend Johnny (HSlayer) used to have the RSX, if you remember him! He was one of the only ones with the Gold Advan RG rims a while back.

pools changed just a little bit
I’ve asked around. From what people have said, it’s just muc easier connecting and disconnecting sticks and pads to a PS3 than it is to a 360. I could see that. But as far as the system itself goes, I’m sure 360 is much better than a PS3. Oh well, tournies coming up, hope I can borrow sticks.
