Paradise Arcade Shop, LED Joysticks, Buttons, Mods and more

Hey, I just got a LS-40-01 from here. Really great service and selection so far! Also, my Mom lives in Kona. The macadamia kisses are a nice bonus!

I originally got the joystick to mod a Hori EX2 case, but it doesn’t fit unfortunately, even if I take the mounting off. Would you or anyone else know if I could make it fit with a different mounting plate, perhaps? Also, if I get it fitted, is the LS-40-01 a common ground PCB? I definitely don’t want to return it because it’s for sure the stick I want to use.

I also wanted a tighter spring so I got both a Sanwa JLW and Seimitsu LS56 spring but neither of them fit without being too tight. Is there perhaps an alternate tighter spring replacement for the LS-40-01 that would work, or a workaround to get one of the previously mentioned springs to fit? No big if not, just wondering.

Perhaps I should just scrap the EX2 altogether and just use it as a backup stick? I need to wait for a couple months or so before I can purchase a new case though.

Right now my EX2 has some cherry switches and Sanwa buttons in it, so it’s a decent play until I can find something that works.

Edit: Nvm, just got an HRAP shell for a nice price right here on SRK! Just gotta sit and wait now. This EX2 case has been such the pain, lol.

My girlfriend picked up some stuff from Susan for me the other day, and I just want to say thank you guys for the service you give to us.

I plan on ordering more! Please keep up the great work and efficient customer service.

I can’t believe how quickly my order arrived, great service! I love the emerald balltop, it’s seamless and looks awesome. The 15g Zippys are amazing in my LS-32, they feel even better than the original switches and so quiet! I can play without bothering anyone at night haha. The chocolates were a nice touch, very cool to hear that you guys are from MN as well.

Mahalo from one Minnesotan to another! I will recommend this store to everyone here.

I’m hoping my order arrives today. Still waiting on sticks to finish up two projects I have going on!

Ah, the seller with the HRAP shell wasn’t able to sell it to me after all for some reason, doh. Any clue whether I can get the LS-40-01 to fit in a Hori EX2 case with a different mounting plate?

Great store. Just received my order (iL sticks and competition buttons) and everything went well. Great attentive customer service and a great personal feel to the experience overall. Thanks! I recommend this company to any builder/enthusiast.

I ended up getting the HRAP shell after all. I’m so stoked. Can’t wait to put the LS-40 in it. I just made another order for more buttons too. Can’t wait for more macadamia kisses. Love this place!

LOL, my fiance stole my candy once she saw it was chocolate covered macadamia!

Now I just need to build a nice wood case for all the parts that arrived!

My girlfriend also stole the included candy… I think that’s the reason it’s included… to help mask the unnecessary purchase with “What do you mean you spent over $100 on arc-- Oooo! Candy!”

I ordered a Sanwa JLF and a set of IL competition buttons with 20g zippy microswitches late Thursday night and they shipped out Friday. Received in Dallas today!! Thank You Paradise Arcade!

One thing though. Not really a problem. One of the 20g microswitches I received came broken. The NO side was stuck in the closed position. I popped it open and the lever thing that switches from NC to NO was not positioned correctly. Easy Fix

EDIT: Trying to figure out what kind of candy I got. They’re in clear plastic packaging and kind of look like Pralines or little cookies.

Amazing Store. I order only 6 Cherry Microswitch to test it out from they eBay Store. They were very quick to respond, my order arrived very fast and they include 4 Hershey Aloha chocolates

Sorry we’ve been so quiet, and thanks for all the props… we’ve been busy!

Finally I can announce a few products, but because of holidays we have to wait a little while for them to arrive, but second prototype piecse are in the mail, pictures expected by Friday!!!

Product listing 1… THE ONLY PLACE to buy these available March 1…
RGB joystick tops, fully assembled with LEDs and the translucent balls from above. These will be available for the JLF and IL Eurostick/Happ Competition to start… Seimitsu RGB’s will launch around April 1. We are still looking at pricing but theses should fall around $40, including shaft, ball top, led, and wiring.

Product Listing 2… you won’t believe your eyes, clear Sanwa and Seimitsu plungers. OSBC and PS-14-KN buttons with completely transparent plungers! A Paradise EXCLUSIVE. We made the final tweaks on the mold, will test the latest and 2nd short run, if those are good we will go for full production starting Feb 10th, with product shipping early March(target March 1) Presale will start Feb 1. These will be available as a separate purchase or installed into your favorite buttons. (Parts 3 and 4 above)

Product listings 3, wouldn’t it just be nice if you could by the JLF with an octagon, square, and/or circle restriction already installed? We worked hard and figured out a way to make this happen, so get ready for JLF’s with custom restriction plates. Available March 1, presales starting Feb 15.

Finally, the biggest change to joysticks in long time… with all the technology available why settle for non contact switches that emulate micro switches. Let’s take the joystick performance to a new level… an analog joystick with complete control over the activation map. Customize the sensitivity and reaction of your joystick with the finest level of adjustment. Tweak the neutral area and change the directional mapping to do amazing combinations with minimal movement, and do all this in a plug and play unit that has the same pinouts as a JLF… Check out the announcement here:

Prototypes and proof of concept are complete… second stage prototypes arrive shortly, these will be extensively tested with projected launch April 1(no joke). If we are on track, pre-sales will start March 15th…

It’s going to be an exciting year, so keep you eyes on the web page. We have about a dozen new projects in process, these are just the first 4…

Do you know if the short barrel Asian pushbuttons you carry come in convex? And barring that do you know if they’re compatible with any other companies plungers? Because I really like the Japanese/American fusion the Yenox buttons have (especially, I assume, with those 20g switches) but I would prefer concave ones. I know they made them at some point because I have three in my Qanba stick as the Home/Start/Select buttons. It’s not that big of a deal though, if they don’t I can just go with the 20g iL’s you have and get the same rough goal, just from a form factor and a spring factor (I like the Yenox spring strength more than iL/Happ) its easier to work with the Yenox ones.

Would you reccommend this http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/en/arcade-pinball-leds/133-uila-rgb-5vdc-led-lamp.html or the Uila S for rollie buttons? I’m not sure if the uila S fits rollies but It’d be great to know.

Hero, we carry Yennox here:

Xruiza, we have Uila’s for the Rollies specifically…hmmm, maybe we should do a sale… I do have about 100 rollies to clear out  I will count the colors that I have, but we can do RGB UIla’s and Rollie buttons, 3.25 each for a button/LED combo, does that work for people?

Finally I promised pictures…

Seimitsu Buttons, our new cap on the left, the old one on the right:

Sanwa’s? Again, ours on the left, the stock on the right:

The Sanwa’s with clear plungers look AWESOME, if I may say so myself

Haha, that’d work out great for me.

I really like your illuminated pushbuttons, but the bottom prong on the microswitch makes it too long to fit into my case. I see that Zippy has a VK series. Would these work and would you be able to get them? I really want to make them work.

I can look into it, but we just received our latest lot of micros, which is a very large order and may not order again for a bit. I can talk to our representative about some samples though…

That would be awesome. I am not in a hurry for them. I just ordered some more microswitches so I can try out the different feels of them. I’m liking the 50 gram microswitch with the spring removed from the button, now I wanna try the 20 gram. You guys do a good job of ensuring quality parts and it is very much appreciated that you do this for your customers. I can’t wait to see all your new projects. Keep up the good work!

just curious, are you still offering anodized JLF shafts?
