Paradise Arcade Shop, LED Joysticks, Buttons, Mods and more

Maybe it doesn’t show up on the mobile app. I still don’t see it. Lol

Cabling is done, LEDs are done, boards are in but need to be assembled and tested. We will probably roll out a test market in the upcoming weeks. Prototypes worked great and feedback was good but we will do some advanced sales to a small group of production boards to confirm there are no unexpected issues.

It is the 4th tab, I asked Susan to move it, hey give me a break, I am still learning fb methods, lol

Already posted in a thread and reported the guy.
Don’t care for junk like this… I’ve had it happen to me twice in a row. There won’t be a third time any time soon {I hope}.
There’s a lot of plain rude cusses that come in here.

It was a good idea to take a break for a day or two after that!

Bryan/armi0024,

I hope you had a successful EVO.
I imagine the new stuff was popular.
Free stuff always is – but what about the stuff you actually made people pay for? lol

I might forego getting silent Sanwas and just upgrade with the silencer pads when I need them.
(I kind of wonder why Sanwa hasn’t done this figuring out how easy it was to make foam pads without Sanwa’s help.)
I spent my weekend tweaking personal art designs for joysticks (most creative use of my Photoshop knowledge) and playing a round or two of Donkey Kong: Pauline Edition… Okay, it was the NES version (patched with the fourth level programmed for the British Wii release) so it wasn’t technically the “real” Donkey Kong. It’s a pain-and-a-half to get the mod to work with arcade Donkey Kong (on MAME) but I did get Donkey Kong II (extra levels) which is ten times harder just to finish the first level of!

{Slobbering over the new “butterballs.”}
{Yes, I know I’m inadvertently setting myself up for a sick joke there!}

Anyone online able to help with directing me as to where on the PCB I can hook up the LED ? (using a Qanba Q4RAF)

I picked these three up on Sunday at EVO. The pictures don’t even begin to do them justice, really hoping I can get my hands on some more soon!

@Zenseishun saw that this am, i can email you back tonight. If someone else wants to chime in, feel free.

@butteroj I can’t thank you enough for sharing your balls with me. Paradise Arcade has become the most definitive collection of balls and shafts available. “cue the porn music”

@agent_jones Thanks for buying, and we have GREAT news and GREATER news… great news is that we won’t have to raise prices in the store, I got the company to work with us, the greater news is that they have so many new patterns they are sending a new price list and set of pictures.

@Georgec, you get drunk on ball lust  I didn’t go to Evo to give away free stuff, I went to meet people and see what it was about. We were selling hollow shafts, ball tops and silent pads…
http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/1755-large/paradise-obsfs-silent-30mm-pushbutton-pad.jpg
If you were there you could have walked away with a bug ball top, led shaft and silent pads for $22  So what are you waiting for, you can get 8 pads now for 2.40! These pads were rated better than “authentic” Sanwa pads by all but 1 person when we polled people. So not only can you save a bundle, you can have a better quality silent pad.

Bug balls were in high demand, and most people coming to the booth and looking at them said “These are only $10”. That was our Evo special, we will be selling these for $15 on the site shortly. We are also looking into adding some new bugs to the line up.
Buttero balls will be up soon, these also sold very well at EVO and we can’t wait to see the new pictures!

This is probably too late to ask, but will you be making color-matching dustwashers and shaft covers for the original four Paradise battops (Red, Green, Blue and Copper)?

Why is it too late?
After a brief hiatus we have renegotiated production with the original manufacturer. We will be bringing out dust washers, shaft covers, ball tops, button caps and more.
We will be carrying the line of aluminum products that have started to show up on other peoples websites but we have direct control over color, shape and features on our own products. If you count each color as a pseparate product in each part, we have quoted over 100 New parts to extend that line…

And that’s before we start talking about custom etching!

Yes, let’s talk about etching!

Actually, now that the idea for my customized stick has been fleshed out (panel art is done!), I’m not quite sure what what I would want etched on it yet! But I’ll think of something that fits the theme of the stick, hehe…

@Playdoh003 No promises but I’m up for playing around a bit…

I thought I would make two announcements, all hollow joystick shafts are one sale until Friday $5 off, just go to our face book page and check out the weekly coupon!

Can’t wait for mine to be LED’d haha, did you need a more clear picture of the PCB?

http://img.tapatalk.com/d03604d7-6792-4305.jpg

All you need to do is splice the red wire into the USB VCC or red line and the black wire into the USB GND line or black wire. You can actually tap into any VCC and GND on the board, they shoudl be common planes.

Coupon code is up for 7/19-7/26

Where did we get discontinued colors?

And look at this candy:

Are the transparent ones Sanwa or Seimitsu? The clear plungers are interesting; can you put art under them?

Seimitsus… At least judging from the clear mounting nuts (Sanwas are orange, but I’ve read they are interchangeable).

Ha, I already had some Seimitsus, so I ordered a set of clear plungers yesterday to get that “candy” look. Had I known you’d be selling them already installed, I would’ve bought them to save myself the work, lol.

Those are the quartz buttons with seimitsu nuts…I think…

Quartz? Ah come on, “Quartz” are just clear Rollies, and you can see the ejection pins on the face. These are our x-busters in seimitsu buttons. We had custom molds made for our clear button plungers so you can’t see the ejection pins and the faces are “Crystal” clear
