With all the Marvel movies I don’t doubt this game will sell well.
This mode though would possibly be the icing on the cake, it would add that smash party game feeling. The more people involved the less competitive things tend to be because each individuals competitiveness streak differs but thats what the casual audience would love about it.
One person could be really good while the other sucks, it would still be fun on both ends even in all four players suck.
Honestly one of the most fun i’ve had with a FG was doing pair play on SFxT, didn’t matter if my friend was bad or good at the game, even the losses were fun.
This absolutely needs to be added in MvC:I.
So now that more gameplay has surfaced, what do you think of the potential for pair play in the mechanics? The new Counter Switch seems great because it encourages cooperation from both players to save one another.
It’s honestly a no brainer to add pair play. Playing with a buddy on the same team in SFxT was one of the funnest experience i had in a FG.
Plus, casuals don’t like going online, however having a buddy makes the experience more social and less intimidatingto go online and you have a finger to point why you lost lol.
Though MvC:I seems a game too fast for co-ordinating attacks, unless you have really grinded it with a friend before. If anything it’s atleast fun and there are plenty of opportunities to call in your partner.
It is literally the easiest thing ever to have people with controllers press the home button. We’ve had 5plyr local matches in WWE 2k16. Four guys in Tekken Tag 2. NBA Jam. Perfect Dark. We have never an issue ever playing with four guys on Xbox One. Should be the same on PS4.
I have never heard of or experienced this specific criticism. Ever.
Four arcade sticks, hitboxes, third party wired controllers. The console does not have enough USB ports for that and hubs have the potential to add extra input lag, which will probably be 6.5f again.
