Got painter 9 today and it’s the dream program. Finally a version of painter I can use. Painter 8 was like wearing a pair of reebok pumps. Way too ugly for me to use. Painter 9 is a fresh pair of Pumas. Testing it out and man this program is a beast untamed. Looks like photoshop too!

YESSSS man! Painter Essentials 2 looks very similar to 9 but I gotta stop bein a nigga an’ get off mah ass. Gettin this.
Painter IX is indeed beastly. Makes CG work much more fun, even if it may add an hour or two on your work. 
Man I’ve wanted painter for ages? How much does it cost? More or less that Photoshop.
And can it do everything Photoshop can? I’d have to get better computer so I could run it anyway.

Painter 9 is cheaper than PS CS. By quite alot too i think. I have the academic version which i think is same as the full price iteration. Recommended if you’re a student.
I’m going to stick with PS CS
Branching out I see. Looks good, even though Painter is a dummied down version of PS, you’re still able to produce PS quality pics.
All I got is painter6 :sad: But it serves me well.
NO way dude. Painter is like the brush tool in PS x1000. The only thing it doesn’t have are the effects in photoshop. BUt those aren’t really used in painting/coloring.

I don’t think I’ll ever color w/ photoshop again… and I have Essentials(probly REALLY watered down compared to v.9)!!!
oh, damn. Didnt know that, I only heard that it wasn’t as good as PS, guess I might have to get me a copy.

i have painter 7… but for some reason… i cant use it… its to weird… just the whole inteface… probably because im too used to photoshop… a painter tutorial would be nice to see though :pleased:
but wow painter 9 does look a lot like PS :wow:
Yeah I’ve been rocking painter9 the day it came out… too good indeed :tup:
I use Photoshop for color ajustments resizing etc… all my art is done in P9.
