Build Fighters was great. The first toy-based competition show I’ve watched extensively since Beyblade.
Kind of reached its peak at the Renato/Meijin fight, though…
I’ve never been able to touch Gundam…the whole ‘space robot’ thing just does NOTHING for me.

I like G Gundam, but I would not use it as inspiration. PR is still somewhat rooted in reality, and so the basis for anything involving it should go to other Gundam shows rooted in a similar fashion.
08th MS is my favorite though, I do like the original series but can’t watch it repeatedly due to the dated animation (that’s just me). But other UC-based series/movie spin-offs more than make up for it though.

build fighters is some of the worst weeaboo horseshit ive ever seen, got tricked into watching this last year for approx 5 mins when my buddy said it was legit. No longer pals :tup:
Wasn’t the sword a new addition to the Gypsy Danger after it was rebuilt? They got along fine punching the kaiju at first, but then the kaiju started getting bigger and smarter and the mechs were getting stomped. The governments clearly didn’t want to fund what they saw as a failing project, so they probably didn’t get too many weapons upgrades.
The only real question I have is why continue this program, or salvage Jaegers when the portal was closed? They won and not really a “need” for them without the Kaiju. Otherwise, we’ll get the same intro as the last movie (a 5 minute exposition clip show). Not gonna lie though, if they create them to be used as war machines, that’ll be as close as we are going to get to see a live action Gundam Fight Match.
Yeah that’s where I was a week or so ago about the sequel. Most of the jaegers are FUBAR, and there is no need to build them badck up. The only saving grace might be that hte success of closing the portal lead to refinancing of the program, just in case.
