Deezo’s ST is uncanny.

Please believe that shit is going down in the NW.

Come fuck with us…Please!

no tekken? awwwe tekken would bring a good crowd~~ seattle/pdx/van have a lot of players

Bill! Much love to the Dips! Hope you guys can roll through that’d be sick. I’m trying to have one of those ft 100s with you guys, Marvel until I can’t see straight.

Yes yes! You know how I do Ken! You gotta stay long enough so you can attend. Who am I gonna recite Saigon lyrics with?

You bums could’ve had Tekken on the tourney. You guys lost to VF by four votes. Know who the tying votes should’ve been?

JWO
Hattorii
You
Won

LOL. <3 Seattle Tekken.

Where’s Tekken 6?

… not that I’d make it back to the states in time for the tourney anyway… but I feel sorry for everyone that has to deal with shitty/nonexistent arcades in the states with no purchasing power to get Tekken 6. =x

I just got back from a couple days of $0.30 Tekken 6, best of 5 rounds, 15 back to back cabs, free frapuccino thing once a day, and Korea’s top players… why can’t the states (or Seattle) have an arcade like that? I blame it on arcade owners… and on scrubs. Ever notice nobody (any normal person who would pop in) ever wants to learn more, come back, do better and win? If they get beaten they bitch or leave… we could never build a player base bigger enough to support a REAL arcade, despite the size of Seattle, because of that problem. =x

[/rant]

Still… somebody make sure WA gets Tekken 6… Gameworks at least? Sad to see it didn’t even get the votes for regionals… if you think Tekken is lame, you’re not playing it right. -_-

Someone… please make sure there’s a Tekken 6 in Seattle before August! =P

Tekken got left out because we couldn’t do 7 games at the tourney, no one was offering to step forward and supply the PS3’s, and it didn’t get enough votes.

We may want to have it at the next tourney, but only if we can hear from enough people who will say they want it and will bring the equipment to make it happen.

It really sucked having to drop it, but it just had to be that way.

WOOOOOOooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOO

Float…

It’s time to get hype! Please believe.

Oh sweet dude, I’ll most likely be able to make it to this.

Because it was asked:

  • The nearest airport is Sea-Tac, it’s about twenty minutes away from anything in Seattle. Any Seattle airport should be fine though, there’s some budget airline operating out of Boeing Field or something too as far as I recall. Anything from Tacoma to Everett is fine. Bellingham is three hours away, so kind of lame to fly into there.
  • I’m booked for “beds” at this point, I might have some floor room if people really need it
  • All local hotels should be fine. Aurora Ave probably has a bunch of cheap hotels. There’s no really grimey place in Seattle to worry about. You might want to stay out of the Central District and Tacoma’s Hilltop area, but seriously, it’s a pansy-ass friendly city.

Dick’s Deluxe Hamburgers is the classic hamburger joint to eat at.
The Pike Place Market, Ballard Locks, and Greenlake are probably the most beautiful outdoor spots. The Arboretum is also very cool and has a Japanese garden with koi pond. Pretty much everything is beautiful, though, that’s why I live here. Lots of waterfront, lots of mountains for hiking really close by.
The best local arcade is Gameworks in downtown Seattle. Funtasia, Bullwinke’s Family Fun Center and some others are THERE if you need them. The PNW Forum has a list of local arcades you can reference.
Belltown is the hip place to be. Pioneer Square probably has the most bars in the easiest area to walk around. The waterfront is great during the day. Capitol Hill is also excellent. Kirkland isn’t bad either though.
The Egyptian has midnight movies Friday and Saturday, that’s pretty fun.
The Pacific Science Center’s Laser Show is fun too.
The Underground Tour is weak - just realize that Seattle is built on top of old burnt out Seattle and you’ll be good. The “Ride the Ducks” tour is weak.
The Mariner’s stadium is a great place to catch a game, but they’re in San Diego that weekend. The football stadiums are pretty good, I don’t know those schedules yet.
Most steak joints in the area are pretty great. I especially recommend El Gaucho’s. But it’s the Northwest, so the fish is top notch if you like fish.
If you’re a vegetarian like me, Cafe Flora in Montlake is OK, but the Elysian is seriously the best local spot (it’s got meat and veggies, but it’s all soooo good).
The Cinerama is the best local movie theater.
The 24 hour non-fast food restaurants are The Hurricane, Beth’s, 13 Coins, and I don’t recall what else. Most places are open late.
Pudge Brothers Pizza on 45th is the best local pizza - and it’s close to the UW! They should deliver, if not use Pagliacci Pizza, they’re the second best and deliver everywhere.
University Avenue (right by the UW, hence the name) is full of great restaurants. Aladdin’s Gyro-cery is maybe my favorite. Small but great.
Westlake Center, Pacific Place, and Bellevue Square are the easiest places to shop at if you need to.
Many of the grocery stores are 24-hours, which is nice.

Thier bread sticks are amazing too. My girlfriend and I get them about 3 times a week.

They’re really better then most any other bread sticks you could get. They are also huge and you get 4 for 4.50$.

I gotta start practicing…
