It shouldn’t interrupt the other tourney since that’s mainly out in the cuts for their specific region.
Sept 4th mainly for our region for battle of the bay, thanks!
I would like to claim Sunday October 3rd please. Planning an upcoming singles event at Starbase.
Since I’m a new tournament organizer, I didn’t know that Drom’s is having a tournament on the same day I scheduled mine. My bad, I’ll see if I can re-schedule mine in October, hopefully around 10/9 or 10/16.

January 8th, 2011 in Emeryville/East Bay for ST/HDR/SSF4 tourney…
Thinking of doing a Bay area Gods Garden style tourney Since in my area there is no one or no where to play… I choose bay area only and our area to minimize lag because who wants to lose a match to someone in Florida because of lag… So would people be down? Should I make a thread for this? FEEDBACK please.
Nice! I can’t wait for this.
I’m down for this, but can you try making a tournament in person and advertise it in SRK?
WHat do you mean In person? I DO want to keep it bay area, Like cause I honesty think whoever gets 2 wins first is not a good way to determine who the stronger player is. I mean maybe first to 5 wins would be better but in a tourney were we all meet like shadoowbrookes Its takes DAYS to do our matches sometimes and not everyone sticks around. So I was thinking do a qualifier by County’s ( or whatever works better) Kinda like how battle of the bay worked out. Another Idea is a singles/2v2 style in person tourney out here ( brentwood and the surrounding area ) All day sort of BBQ,Tourney,Meet up thing somewhere. So feedback please?
Psn or live? Are you planning to have it span over a few days/weeks like godsgarden?
You know, offline
I need to find a way to make it organized and IDk Ill ask the community which they prefer because the idea is you play against someone in a first to 5 wins, Online/Offline im still working on that. Possibly if online Every day Ill set up who your opponent is and if you win you continue ETC like… day 1 you fight blah if you win you fight blah or lose you fight blah on day 2 this person day 3 4 ETC and the people with the best over all score will be chosen for the final 8/16 whatever. Kinda like maybe round robin swiss style so if I get maybe 64 entrance ( probably max Ill do maybe less… if anyone wants to help me run this ) if your score is 0-1 Youll only fight other 0-1 people and vice versa.
also if it does reach a large number Of people Ill probably implement a pool random seeding system.
Sounds complicated. If you want to keep it strictly to your area, you’re limiting the people that play in your region from playing different players from other regions. Also, a combination of online/offline doesn’t seem like such a great idea.
Popular format here in NorCal is Double elim, 2/3 games. Feel free to experiment, but you should probably ask around first before you finalize anything.
BB:CS on October 16th at Drom’s. There is a SSFIV event that day, but we aren’t expecting over-lap in players. Let me know if this is a problem.
 our Super SF 4 tournament is October 16th I don’t think the BB:CS community really cares about SSF4 so I don’t think it’s really a problem. I’m about to make a post/thread about it though. :wonder:
